- Pros: very nice picture blacks are deep while colors are really rich, it puts out at 1080i and very nice sound for tv speakers. also plenty of hookups and the price is very nice also

Using the 42HP66 as monitor for a Mac mini, too
- Pros: Beautiful picture! Being able to connect my Mac is wonderful!
- Cons: Difficult to calibrate the color characteristics perfectly for viewing video (like iTunes videos) from the PC. Tends to be too dark or not quite true color. Ah, well, it's a challenge!
- Other Thoughts: I'm using this as a monitor for my Mac mini in addition to its television duties. Don't be tempted to use a DVI to HDMI cable to connect a computer; the picture quality is much higher using a DVI to VGA adapter and a VGA cable (Toshiba recommends this method in the owner's manual). 1360x768 @ 60Hz resolution is the highest available with this combination. I run mine at 1280x768. Make sure to heed the warnings about burn-in if you use this as a monitor!
