Happy so far...
- Pros: The recertified model so far seems to be in great condition. Not too difficult to set up or use. Remote is better than I expected with easy programming and the built in speakers put out pretty good sound. This is my first real experience with NewEgg and I am impressed with their speed, quality, and service. Shipping was fast and package arrived in good shape.
- Cons: TV does take a moment to turn on, but that doesn't bother me. The contrast is pretty dark in the dark scenes of generally dark movies. I definitely would have prefferred a 1080p TV at this size, but I'm not complaining too much for the price.
- Other Thoughts: We'll see how the tv holds up after time... It's been great this first week or so, I'll be sure to update the review after a few months to a year, but I've heard/read great things about NewEgg customer service, and this model comes with a decent return policy.

- Pros: This is a great deal for my first upgrade from my old CRT! What an improvement! Have had good luck with refurbs so far, and took a chance. Happy I did - perfect condition, great picture, easy hookup for older progressive component DVD, audio amp, and PC. Great over-air reception. Perfect size for my smaller family room. Lots of picture adjustment choices.

- Other Thoughts: After buying this Toshiba, i could not bear to watch the old CRT in the other room...so it just so happened Wally World was having a rollback on a 47" Sony and i bit.
Great picture till you have dark background(common problem with some of the LCDs.I managed to get the fuzziness out of the background with manual changes, but then the normal picture wasn't as good.
This is NOT an issue with the Toshiba, i watched the same movie in both and there's no comparision.I am returning the Sony and getting another Toshiba.Get this one folks, the price and quality can't be beat!
