Pros: This Toshiba has a great picture, very workable menus, and a decent number of inputs to provide the full array of connections.
The major benefits of this over a monitor of equal size is the presence of a tuner, a few more video inputs, a couple audio outputs, and a remote. Bear in mind, a monitor of this size would almost certainly be 1080p though (see cons).
Cons: Price could be lower for such a "small" TV, but Newegg had the lowest price anywhere. I'd much prefer a DVI input to standard VGA, but it's definitely not a deal breaker. It would be great if it was 1080p for this price, but in a 26" TV, it'd be hard to tell the difference anyway unless you like to sit very close.
Other Thoughts: I bought this television because it is the largest TV that fits in a particular spot in my home.
The refurbished bit saves you a few bucks, but it can still be replaced quickly if it arrives DOA. Mine arrived fine, with all pixels good to go. You take the risk of DOA or junk pixels with any LCD, new or refurbed.

Pros: None. It was Dead On Arrival.
Cons: It was Dead on Arrival. Plugged it in and did all the minimal trouble shooting that can be done. Still dead. What more can I say?
Other Thoughts: Even though it was a remanufactured unit, we expect it to at least power up. Being DOA, I elected to return for a refund. It only gets one egg because the system doesn't let me give it zero eggs.
