Could be considered perfect
- Pros: Great looking out of the box, even better looking with proper lighting. Add some blue neon fans inside, heck of an attrative case. It has plenty of room inside. The wiring is well done, bundled with adaptors so you dont have to plug individual usb pins in. There's a cover over the optical drive...finally, I don't have to worry about matching case colors to the cd drive! The fan is big, I had to laugh when I took out of the box. It moves a lot of air, and will keep the inside of the case cool.
- Cons: It's VERY glossy, which means fingerprints. You have to see it to realize how polished the finish is. The vent holes in back for the fans are kind of small. They didn't allow for much airflow, so I drilled quite a few of them out to make them bigger. Like everyone else said, the front button feels a bit loose.
- Other Thoughts: I gave it a 5, because it is a seriously nice case. However, for my needs, it's a 4. The total size is far bigger than the measurements given on newegg. I replaced a micro-atx case with this, and this things iS HUGE in comparison. It really is a nice case overall.
Very nice case
- Pros: HUGE fan. The pictures don't even do this thing justice as to how big it really is. It is surprisingly quiet also. Very nice finish on the case and lots of room on the inside. No sharp corners that I noticed.
- Cons: As one user already stated, the sound cables to the front ports are a little short. I had to reroute them to have them reach the lower back corner of the case to where they connected to my motherboard. They will reach though, but it is cutting it pretty close.
- Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with this case so far. Just wish I hadn't scratched it on my belt buckle while I was carrying it. :(
Great if you're willing to mod it
- Pros: If you're willing to do a little modification, this is a wicked sweet case. Tons of fan options, lots of room for drives, awesome cooling, and it looks pretty nice to boot. Love the front panel USB, always a plus. if you connect the big fan to a controller you can downshift it to about half the speed, so its a lot quieter. a good dremel eats away the metal that you want to remove very easily.
- Cons: It's true the power button seems flimsy. I put a 1/4" spacer on the back of the button, and it fixed the flimsy feel. you could also throw some foam behind it to make it firmer (1/2" weatherstripping works wonders in situations like this). The case doors arent heavy duty, so dont carry it around like a laptop. front panel isnt that easy to get off if you want to dremel out the front fan spot for airflow. Also, if you connect the big fan to a fan controller, you won't have a lot of play in it's ower cable, so you'll want to be careful when you take off the side panel. its still enough, but some people might find it a con. Optical drive flap is super flimsy. Some people will complain about the noise from the big fan if they dont use a fan controller, though my zalman heatsink on full blast is still louder
- Other Thoughts: if you remove the metal from in front of any fans you mount, it'll drastically decrease the noise of the case, and make the airflow really good. Looks pretty sweet with a Zalman ZM-MFC1 fan controller in it. take your time if you mount your optical drive behind the flappy bay. it's worth getting it positioned just right. Also, recommend putting a 140mm fan for the front intake for best results, and two 80mm in the back. this would be a good case to mount a fanless PSU in, if you want one of those.
