XClio's A380Plus is engineered to support your high-performance gaming system in style! The exterior is designed for the 250mm front fan, which draws fresh air in, and the 360mm side fan, which directs the air onto your components. Both fans are controlled by a VR speed control. The transparent side panel and blue LED lights give the system a cool blue glow, and allows you to see what’s going on inside the case. Top-mounted I/O panel hosts 2 USB 2.0 ports and a FireWire connector for easy access, even with the front door closed.
Installation of your components couldn’t be easier, with XClio’s tool-less clip and rail system. You’ll have room for your Micro ATX, Standard ATX, or MP Dual CPU(12'' x 13'') motherboard, Five 5.25” external drives, one 3.5” external drive, seven 3.5” internal drives, plus 7 expansion slots. External drive faces are concealed by the front door, which keeps dust out, and gives the case a sleek look when closed. Your gaming system will look and run great in the A380Plus.
Pros: 1) Quick release back slots for easy access without using screws. 2) hard drives face laterally to allow more room. 3)Nothing interferes with the motherboard, it sits alone without the p/s, cd drives, fans or hardware interfering. 4) The front panel is MAGNETIC, so there's no mechanical failure chance. NOTE: it is magnetically WEAK ENOUGH to allow an ejecting cd rom drive to still overcome the magnetic force and open the door for you to eject the CD 5)Rear fan is a 120mm slot, allowing you to get superior exhaust CFM, and it comes right off the processor heatsink 6)Comes with cable ties and stationary twist clips to allow easy routing of USB and IEEE case mounted slots. 7)screwless attachments for hard-drives, CD drives and floppy drive for quick installation. the floppy one worked for my XION temperature monitor ($60 on newegg). 8) very quiet fans, even at high speed. i didn't say silent, just quiet. 9) front and side fan are both speed-adjustable, built in Overall, great case.
Cons: 1)quick-release PCI securer is a little flimsy, if you are using a 8800GTS or any double-slot card, you maybe have trouble getting it to close entirely, but it's still secure even if you can't get it all the way. 2)the huge side fan only really blows air from the tips of the blades, be prepared for that, not as great a cooling job 3)USB/IEEE connections are NONSTANDARD meaning they are just loose wires, you'll have to find a schematic of a USB cable on google images or something to hook them up right to a 9-pin USB motherboard connection. 4)for the love of g-d, connect the huge fan to the speed adjuster that comes already attached to your pci back covers, or you will effectively short your power supply 5) large fan is very difficult to remove if you want to reverse it to make it an exhaust, or anything like that, making it hard to filter dust, etc 6)accesory case is a joke. it's basically a place to cram the cables to they can ship it to you. it's unsightly, but the side blocks it.
Other Thoughts: Don't get me wrong, I love this case. I'm coming from a generic full size tower, and this one has some intelligent design. The sides slide on and off with ease, don't listen to anyone else about that. Make sure you buy an exhaust 120mm fan, I recommend a SILVERSTONE FM121-B, sold on this site, or a zalman fan that comes with a fan-mate speed controller, because it will be the loudest fan in your chassis. It doesnt matter what color your exhaust fan is, the bright blue LEDs on the side fan make everything blue anyways. My exhaust fan is white and you can't tell. Get a pci slot exhaust fan too to put in the bottom, there's no normal exhaust path down there, even though the bottom fan blows into there, at least that's my last recommendation. Cheers!

An Even Bigger Fan!
Reviewed By: Xionraserei on 5/23/2007
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: 360mm Fan to cover the whole motherboard!!! I highly recommend this case.
Cons: I had the previous version of this case about 4 or 5 months ago(Still have it and love it). It had a 250mm fan on the side. Be careful as this case may not be glossy like the first one was advertised as well.
Other Thoughts: So 4 or 5 months after the 250mm side version sells alot of units they take it off the market and start selling this upgraded version with a fan that actually covers the entire motherboard, Lets hope it is glossy this time as well. Id gladly trade in this unit for the one with the 360mm fan i feel cheated ; ; lol

Pros: This case is HUGE. Apparently my idea of a "full size" case is not the same as what it actually is.
There are 5 bays for CD/DVD drives, and 6 for HDD's. Tons of room if you have bulky graphics cards as well.
Air circulation is amazing. Those two giant fans are anything but flimsy. They move air like I've never seen before. Another upside is the adjustable speed dials on both the front and side fans. They are also dead silent at low speeds and very quiet at higher speeds.
USB/Firewire ports are on top of the case. Love it or hate it. If you're not using them, there's a little cover that slides over the panel to keep dust out.
Opening the case is easy enough. Take out the screw and the door comes right off, no hassle. Very nice if you have to fix/troubleshoot hardware problems later (like I did).
Cons: Like everyone else, I had an issue when I first got it where one of the side fan's LED's was being hit by the blades. Easy fix, not a big deal at all.
Fans can get very loud if turned up to maximum speed. Also not a big problem, because having them just below max eliminates that noise.
My IDE cables would not reach the top slots of the case for my CD and DVD drives, so I had to move them down to the middle ones. Not a performance issue, just a minor annoyance.
The side fan uses a speed dial that goes in the back of the case (where a PCI card would attach). The device itself felt flimsy when secured, but it works just fine.
No ability to turn the fan lights off. They are VERY bright (light up my whole room), and if you want to watch a movie or something , it might be annoying.
I had a weird issue where the case was making a very small rattling noise. I think the front panel was a little loose or something (?). Anyway, I pushed around on it and managed to shut it up.
Other Thoughts: WONDERFUL case, really. Overall, I am very happy I bought it. If you want a jaw-dropping case that you can show off to your friends, I highly recommend this one.

Pretty Cool

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Keeps everything really cool, lots of space, easy installation.
Cons: The side fan is flimsly constructed and had to bend one of the fan blades so it would stop hitting itself. The feet could be considered flimsly contructed as well because one broke within minutes of ownership.
Other Thoughts: Despite the few flaws the case is a good buy and I would recommend it to others who have the room for it.

Absolute Perfection

Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: This desktop case is everything I could have wanted and more. I run two GTX260s in SLI with an AMD Phenom 9600 x4 and my core temperatures always report below 35 Celsius. I kind of tilted my fan blades so that they would kick in more air, well worth it.
Cons: Little bit hard for cable management.
Other Thoughts: Sometimes, it is kind of hard to decipher which fan cables go where, but it does not take away from the overall rating of this case.
