The Thermaltake Tsunami VA3000SWA features two 120mm fans: one at the rear and one in the front as well as a 90mm side fan for maximized air flow to make sure the heat from this system is just from its looks. Great Case
- Pros: Quiet, sturdy, light with great air flow. The first time I spent a little more on a case and boy is it worth it. Everything pops in an out without a screwdriver - very nice.
- Cons: Two things. First, I had to remove the little nub off of my AGP card to get it in the case. Not a big deal, but I did have to cut my card - may hurt resale.
Second, and this is my own dumb fault, I ran the wires from the top USB/mic port BEHIND the mother board (well clear of the processor) this resulted in a small fire in the case and burned completely through the wires (not to mention it fried my mobo) - top ports are all useless now. Yes it was dumb, but I learned the hard way so you won't have to.
The Facts
- Pros: - Thin bezel on side panel allow large viewing area.
- Front is on hinges and opens to reveal drives, also opens again for add/removal of drives. - Front is made of metal. - 3.5" drives get installed directly behind front case fan. - Large case fans = quiet - Instead of parts snapping in place (drive covers, etc), almost all parts are held on by screws. - Excellent finish. - LEDs on Front look good and not overpowering.
- Cons: - Metal is somewhat thin.
- Had to remove top panel USB/Audio to install power supply. - Had to remove expansion card hold down piece to install a 2U video card. - Side cover fan needs to be turned around (suck instead of blow). - Top USB/Audio is dumb... Front would have been better.
- Other Thoughts: This is a good case for a decent price. It isn't a typical plain case but also doesn't look like a transformer. It is a little flimsy but definitely looks cool and is overall a good buy.

nice but has flaws
- Pros: removable hard drive cage
fans near silent and keep system very cool power supply sets on a edge makes installation a dream stainless steel construction is very sturdy. plenty of room for expandability
- Cons: tool-less drive holders could be improved
to install the power supply I had to remove the top usb ports fans use molex connectors and the pins inside the connectors moved around. top drive bay cover was bolted behind the door hinge had to remove hinge to take cover off
- Other Thoughts: Over all this is a great case the fans are fantastic at keeping the system cool. The tool-less card holders are great but the ones for the drives are horrible compared to the TT Soprano RS. The hard drive cage was very flimsy felt like it would bend out of shape easily. The bolts used on the top USB assembly were also week one stripped when I was putting it back in. The molex connectors on the fans made efficient cable routing near impossible. I had to use an extra cable to hook up the fans and when I tried hooking them up I had to wiggle the prongs until they fit into the female molex. fans really should have had four prong connectors. Thermal take usually pays great attention to detail but this time they really dropped the ball. I would still recommend this case but spend some money and replace the fans.
Nice Case
- Pros: Very beautiful case. Sturdy and light. Brushed metal look looks astounding and the blue LED's are awesome. Crossflow is very good, keeps the system cool.
- Cons: Doesn't come with a Power Supply. The front panel audio don't work. Badly designed front panel audio jacks cause huge interference. If you can stand a constant static buzz, then I guess it's fine. You can always plug the headset into the back (MoBo connectors) and that should be fine. If you have a long enough cord that is. If you don't you can get an extension cord.
- Other Thoughts: Other than the audio jacks it's great. Didn't know that part of the case was going to be plastic (not the side window, talking about second door on the front). When it says "Aluminum", I think it's full aluminum. It's not. But it's not bad. Works fine.
Great Case
- Pros: Solid construction, durable parts and components.
This case is coming up on its 5th year for me. I just upgraded all of my internals for a DDR3/i5 system - But I kept this case because there is still nothing wrong with it.
Fits my apevia PSU just fine. The cooling is pretty good, I believe a 120mm intake and an exhaust, and an 80mm on the side pulling in.
- Cons: Its a bit of a challenge the first time getting a power supply up into its slot, you have come at it from an angle.
I feel like it is a bit noisy sometimes, but its just a whir, nothing really loud, if anything its my power supply most of the time.
- Other Thoughts: It has lasted me 5 years, its still solid. Nothing has worn out on me, and I even have the original fans in it still.
