Good Case
- Pros: Everything fits inside well, fits in my desk well
- Cons: Handle is not really worth anything, plastic panels can get scratched if you are not careful, everyone can see the dust inside your computer
One of my temperature gauges is not working, but maybe I am just using it properly
- Other Thoughts: I used this to build my desktop over a year ago, and have been quite pleased with it. I may get a larger case if I decide to get a high end video card, because I am not sure if it will fit, and I am also concerned about cooling issues. But as it stands, it has been a great case. I am not really a fan of LED's or see-through cases, but my friends are always impressed anyway.
Nice looking, keeps cool, but unreliable PSU
- Pros: I've had this case for 2 years now, it's held up well. It was a perfect balance between size/cooling for me. 120mm fan does a good job (not loud, but not silent for sure)
- Cons: PSU slowly died on me over the last couple weeks. At first it started to make crackling noises under any kind of load(games, photo editing) but now it makes it all the time. Makes a pop/crack every key i type, every mouse move, EVERYTHING. It's driving me nuts and I'm worried it's going to fry my computer.. Unfortunately I dont think I can fit a full sized atx psu in here, and I'm out of my warranty period, so it seems I'm out of luck.
- Other Thoughts: Would have been a higher rating if the PSU didn't die.
-
Manufacturer Response:You can use a standard-size power supply in the X-Qpack case. However, you would have to use smaller sized optical drives (no longer than 6.7") and even then it would be a snug fit.
great case, terrible psu
- Pros: great looking case, ive actually replaced almost everything except the framwork itself because fan wasnt powerful enough for such a tiny case and modern processors, psu was trash. if you want something quality, get the thermaltake lanbox that my friend has.
- Cons: fan doesnt have high cfm, not 3 pin so no throttle, i had this for about 10 months now, the psu started smelling like burnt rubber then it let out a miniexplosion that was contained in the casing so its fine, i took it apart to take a look and theres a fried cable casing from shortage, be careful of the temp probes, they die if theres close contact with the cpu and high heat (above 80c) as both of mine (one was in the 88800gt and another in amd x2 4000+.
front usb somehow didn't work for me so i just got rid of it altogether.
- Other Thoughts: the use of psu isnt recommended, it's hot to the touch and burning to hold at system idle, 430w should hold for my brisbane processor and my 8800gt but it doesnt. bought a ocz stealthxstream and everythings back to normal, if you game at all, i suggest u get another psu to be safe.
