Decent Micro case and PSU
- Pros: This case is relatively small and everything fits perfectly in it. The fan is relatively quiet and it fits the purpose well. The PSU has worked flawlessly 4 me so far.
- Cons: Temperature readouts are excellent but not extremely accurate. temp. probes are stuck on with tape and the directions (on web site) tell you to tape it on the CPU heatsync. Case is a little flimsy but adaquate. PCI slots are difficult to get to once the motherboard is installed.
- Other Thoughts: I don't really agree with the other reviews referring to the handle being too flimsey. It is fine as long as you dont exert rediculous amounts of force on it when carried. THERE IS LIMITED CLEARANCE FOR THE CPU FAN. Make sure you buy a low profile fan for this case. I reccomend the Cooler Master Vortex TX. Quiet, works great, Fits.
One Year Later........
- Pros: It's aluminum, small, and it looks great in my opinion. I wanted all black but the illuminated temp display adds a nice contrast without being too distracting or geeky. Temps seem to be accurate enough but this naturally depends on where and how you place the probes.
There’s plenty of room inside - if you plan your build. Since it’s a mATX it puzzles me as to why people complain about the cramped space. The mATX form factor should be a clue that it will be small.
The cover is flimsy when removed but feels solid enough when properly attached, so unless you plan to carry it around like a lunchbox it should be fine.
The case is cool and airflow is fine. The BIOS shows my CPU at about 2C above ambient temps when idle. The slide out tray is handy and necessary and can be removed or reinserted in seconds.
- Cons: I knocked this down to 3 eggs because of the power supply. This would be a great deal for the price if it came with a decent PS but unfortunately it does not. You will be pushing your luck if you use it, so if you are serious about using this case you should plan on replacing the PS before you power it up. Fortron makes a good replacement. Standard ATX PS’s will fit but the depth will limit you to using short profile opticals like LiteOn. Full size opticals will bottom out against a standard PS.
- Other Thoughts: I’ve been running this for a year and have been inside the case several times. It still looks like new and was almost silent until I added a 6600GT. I used a FanMate for the 120mm rear fan and I can’t even hear it running, and it still cools well even with the rear fan undervolted. My working case temp is usually around 30C.

- Pros: small and light
- Cons: defective power supply, new egg not helpfull. manufacturer does not respond to email.
In this day and age seperate sensors for temp is dumb.
-
Manufacturer Response:You can do an RMA through us for the power supply to get an exchange on the PSU if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.
- Pros: great case, this is my second one
- Cons: the led for temp for cpu works but hd temp don't work maybe defect
- Other Thoughts: none
Pretty Good
- Pros: Small, decent airflow, did I say small? Able to hold a full size ATX powersupply. Was able to custom mount a Corsair H50 CPU cooler (water cooled) with a dual-fan setup!
- Cons: Very thin material. Front panel usb ports are sketchy and may cause the system to hard stop (crash).
- Other Thoughts: I have a limited space where I wanted my PC, so I was confined to systems that were no deeper than 15". Thus, up came the Apevia! This is a great little box, neat 2-story design. It is very thin material as some has noted and you don't have much room for a CPU cooler (76mm height is max for your standard fan/sink combos).
It will hold a full ATX power supply. It has a spot in front for an 80mm fan, but you have to get one separate.
I was able to put in an ModXstream Pro ATX PS along with a full length DVD drive - it was tight, but it fit. Also I was able to put in an internal 120mm system fan, custom mounted, a 80mm fan (in the built-in spot inside the case), and added a 30mm fan mounted on my HDDs to assist them in cooling. I also was able to put in the Corsair CPU water cooling system - had to do some custom cutting on the back up the box to allow the two water lines to enter and exit the case and mounted the radiator to the outside where the 120mm fan vents - works great!
