Raidmax has gone and created the perfect starter case. The Elite 208 features a straightforward design, room to expand, and, best of all, an unbeatable price. Housing four 5.25" and two 3.5" external drive bays, it covers all the basics. It hasn't forgotten the internal hard drives either, leaving space for four 3.5" internal drives.

This case makes cooling a literal breeze. It has a 70mm fan located on the side panel for keeping your CPU cool and without complaint. In front of the hard drives and in the rear of the case are vents for further cooling. The rear is predrilled for two 80mm fans for extra cooling over all your sensitive equipment, protecting them from the ravages of heat.

Don't expect this case to be flimsy just because it is inexpensive, either. It is made of 0.7mm SECC steel to keep things solid, and followed up by sound design principles to keep weak points to a minimum. This case is a steal. Way to go Raidmax!

4 out of 5 eggsA good Computer Case

Pros: I want to upgrade and I wanted to keep my old case(sturdy). This case did the job. I installed the old computer hardware and it went smoothly.

Cons: However, the other reviews about sharp edges and a little flimsy are correct.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it a good case. The front has provisions for a 80mm or a 120mm fan. There are two 80mm fan slots in the back. There is good air flow. There is a shroud for the CPU on the side panel.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Case has all the bays in the right place to build a standard PC.

Cons: Arrived slightly dented thanks to rough handling probably in shipping.

Other Thoughts: Pounded out the dents with a hammer. Hardly noticeable now.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case for the Money

Pros: Plenty of ventilation, room for at least two additional fans if needed. Doesn't look like a spaceship. You get a pretty good case and it's cheap.

Cons: There weren't enough studs for the mobo. I had to install my board with two less studs than it should have. They need to throw in a few more studs.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat I paid for

Pros: Good case for the money. Everything worked as it should. I didn't have any problem with edges being sharp. My standoffs and pci slots all lined up perfectly.

Cons: Front USB panel doesn't open completely. Didn't come with very much hardware.

Other Thoughts: The fan configuration on the case I just received is a spot for a 120mm on the front, 2 80mm on the rear, and an air duct on the side. It did come with 1 80mm fan.

4 out of 5 eggswhat you would expect

Pros: What do you want for $30? has 120mm fan opening in the front, 2 80s in the back. sheet metal is paper thin but i waent planning on standing on it. Asus motherboard lined right up. powers supply was a little off but the screws pulled the metal right into shape. the cut outs had sharp edges but unless your tring to rip the sht metal byhand you wont cut yourself on it. for 30 bucks i cant knock it. does what its suposed to.

Cons: paper thin skins make for louder then adverage fan noise. goofy cover on front usb ports.

3 out of 5 eggsRaidmax Elite Beige ATX case

Pros: Good looks, sufficient expandability, relatively inexpensive, and Newegg handled the order great!

Cons: Raidmax should replace the 2-80mm fan mounts with one 120mm, be very careful when installing anything especially when trying to remove the metal plates behind the drive bay covers (I got a big cut in my thumb trying to do this), seems flimsy from the thin aluminum

Other Thoughts: Good overall case, Raidmax should refine it with higher quality materials and fix the safety issues. Newegg is the best!

5 out of 5 eggsA++ would buy again

Pros: This case is excellent for the money. It's very decent for 3x the money, in fact. Metal is not as flimsy as you'd expect with a cheap case, you won't be accidentally denting this thing. Air flow is good. Case looks nice, no flashy LEDs or window kits (which to me is a pro, I'm a minimalist when it comes to cases).

Cons: No thumbscrews for the side panels, but not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Got this case to house a 2tb fileserver. Everything (ATX board, 6x SATA HDDs, a DVD drive and a floppy drive) fits snugly. Requires some patient cable management and a little manual dexterity, but if you're using that many components and are the type that would rather have lots of room to work with, you should probably go with a full-sized tower.
