Norco's RPC-810 4U rackmount case is designed to hold your server securely in place. The large interior space will hold a 12"x10" ATX motherboard and has 7 full height expansion slots. There is an internal 6 bay hard drive cage that is shock resistant for added protection.

The lockable front panel has 3x5.25" bays and 1x3.5" bay behind it. The left side is vented to allow airflow from the dual 120mm fans. The air flows over your hard drives keeping them cool and there is a filter to keep the dust level down in the case.

There is also space for 2x80mm fans in the top panel of the 1.2mm thick steel case. This heavy duty construction ensures that this case will provide years of service. Build it strong with Norco!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!!!

Pros: Great case! It is solid and it has room for expansion. Can put up to six hard drives in it.

Cons: Not really a complaint. Had to use right angle sata power and data cables to use the internal metal cover for the hard drives.

Other Thoughts: Used this case to build two servers around Supermicro motherboard, Antec 80 Plus power supply, Quad core intel processors, 1.0 TB of Raid 5 space. Will buy this case again in the future for other server builds

5 out of 5 eggsCould be mil-spec

Pros: The quality of materials used is unmatched by anything in the industry. Highly customizable frame allowed me to disassemble, replace 120mm fans with ultra-quiet low RPM fans, put a ginormous CPU fan on with a slow fan, run RAID5-2TB on 4 HDD's, and I swear to zeus it's quieter than my LAPTOP when running Google Earth and MS office 07. Even with the hinged stabilizer bar removed, there is no wiggle or wobble to this case anywhere. It's just built to last.

Cons: 1: the power LED is brighter than my maglite.
2: I had to modify (remove) the fan mount on the lid to accomadate my huge CPU fan. All that does is attest to the great quality of the paint and metal though, as my cutting wheel had a hard time getting through it compared to other case mods.

Other Thoughts: When you outgrow LED fans and cold cathode tubes and you want a professional, well-made performance case, you really can't go wrong here. This will be the last case I ever buy, until I need a second one.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Deal

Pros: I was blown away when i received this case and realized how sturdy it is. Excellent sturdy steel design, the hard drive bays are easy to configure and there's PLENTY of room for anything you need to add.

Cons: Some of the screws were rather cheap and stripped or snapped easy, not really a big deal because the case came with two huge bags of screws.

Other Thoughts: Fast shipping as always from newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

Pros: Great Price, Great Features! I can't believe how stellar of a deal this chassis is. Expansion card holder, and room for tons of disk drives.

Cons: There is a horizontal support bar that has a L brace where the power supply is, long power supplies make it impossible to tighten both screws of the support without some modification

Other Thoughts: A fantastic addition to my rack, so nice I'm going to replace my normal workstation case with it.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid and Customizable 4U Rack Mount Case

Pros: Impressively well packaged. Updated design from the pictures online. Customizable chassis and features plenty of ventilation.

Cons: Some components have a very cheap Chinese feel. The motherboard stand offs will break if even slightly over tightened. No documentation included -- its a puzzle to take apart. Several screws are factory over tightened and will strip, I had to drill out two screws to remove them.

Other Thoughts: For the price point, its a well made case with a few design flaws. Easily customizable. Watch out for factory over-tightened screws -- they will quickly strip forcing you to drill them out.

5 out of 5 eggsBlack tank

Pros: Much nicer than I expected. Strong. Well designed. Very nice looking. Thinking about buying another for my multitrack recording computer.

Cons: No documentation provided. Some of the MB screw stands had to be moved in order to line up. Included fans are loud - but I only run 1 of the 2 and it stays nice and cool.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal Overall

Pros: Price. Seems solidly built and holds its own with the Chenbro and AIC products I have. Generous bays, internal and external. Drive cage seems well cooled. Works just fine with Norco's rack rail kit. Did not lose any fingers on sharp edges that seem to be on a lot of cases.

Cons: OK, here's the big one - unless you have 90 degree SATA plugs and "T" style MOLEX or SATA power plugs you are not really going to be able to put the HDD cage lid on without possibly damaging the power/sata ports on your hard drives. You'd almost need custom-spaced molex/sata power taps since too much wire between the plugs will make a loop that sticks up and stops you from fastening the HDD top plate on.

Other Thoughts: Oh, one other minor irritant - the top of the case needs 15mm thick 80mmx80mm fans if you want to vent it, which you probably should. These are rather hard to find, as almost all fans out there are 25mm thick. Other than that, and my one complaint above, I think this is a great product, and the price is pretty much unbeatable for what the buyer gets. I would buy this case again.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple, Easy, No Better Deal.

Pros: 2x120mm fans in a dedicated 6 HD enclosure.
3 external 5.25 bays can be used for HDs
Includes 5.25 to 3.5 bay adapters for HDs/etc

Has 4 rubber feet - Useful if you are not going to rackmount them to have some space between them.

Cons: 2x120mm fans (if you are a noise freak)

The only extneral 3.5 bay is really only for a FD or a Flash Media reader, HDs are too long to fit here with out hitting the MBs I used.

5.25 bays are a little tight around 20/24 pin power connector using Asus P4P800 or eVGA EVGA 123-K8-NF47-AX.

4 Rubber feet - have to remove if you want to rack mount them.

Other Thoughts: In general for about $100 including shipping to my location, it is hard to find a better basic 4U case with this many bays to put HDs. I have two of these, and they do everything I ask...hold 7 HDs each and keep the internal components cool.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat rackmount case

Pros: Great case, and excellent colling for the hard drives with the two 120mm fans mounted in front of the hard drive cage.

Cons: The cross bar had to be "reconfigured" to allow my power supply to fit in there, but thats it.

Other Thoughts: Used this case in two computers so far, and I ma getting an order together that will include 7 more. You can't go wrong with it.

4 out of 5 eggsVery well built, poor ventilation

Pros: This case is VERY well built, strong, attractive and functional. If you are only going to have a few disks, this case is perfect.

Cons: You can't tell from the photos, but the additional disk drives sit vertically behind the card slots. Unlike a very simular 19" case unit Newegg sells (and I own) there isn't a fan on the front to draw air over the drives. With 3 or more drives, that space would get very, very warm.

Other Thoughts: If you only have a few drives, this is a wonderful case.
