3 out of 5 eggsDecent hub

Pros: Fits well in drive bay.
Easy to insert/remove cables & flash drives.
Functions fine.

Cons: All 4 of the green LEDs are on ALL of the time, not just when something is connected to one of them.
The screw holes didn't all line up with the case; but this hub is made of plastic, so that problem can be overcome.

Other Thoughts: Advice for GWC (or whoever made this hub):
- Please adhere to ATX standards.
- Make the LEDs go off when nothing is connected!

4 out of 5 eggsUSB Hub

Pros: It does what they say it will do and more. They say it supports self powered devices only. Other words no flash drives. But if you plug a flex disk drive power plug into the 4 pin plug on the hub it does support flash drives.

Cons: It would be nice if they documented the power plug on the hub.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works. It has a red light to tell you it's working.

Cons: Designed to plug into a USB port in the back of your machine, instead of directly into the mother board, via a cable that runs through an open PCI port. Not really a problem, just seems a little strange.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks.

Pros: Comes with its own 5.25" drive bay adapter. Uses standard floppy power connector.

Cons: Beige? What is this, 1994? Oh and I don't need the drive bay adapter.

Other Thoughts: I will spray paint the front bezel black! Muahaha...

5 out of 5 eggs4 Port USB Internal Hub

Pros: This is exactly what I needed. I needed more USB ports located in the front of my computer and this filled the bill perfectly.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice solution for adding extra USB ports - especially if you have an older case that doesn't have ports in the front. Works great once you get it installed. I'd give it 5 stars for the device itself, except...

Cons: ... the documentation is poor. Granted, there's not a lot to say, but they really should explain how to install this thing so it has power. Thanks to the other reviewers here who noted that you need a mini power connector of the type used for floppy drives. If your system doesn't have a free connector you'll need to get a splitter cable to make this work.

5 out of 5 eggsUSB simplicity: the thing seems to work fine

Pros: There are a lot of these front-panel USB hubs coming from the Pacific Rim. I had never heard of GWC, but it's an acronym for something that has "Good Will" in its corporate name.

The Hub works great. Does not require software (most of them don't). Decent cables. Nothing to do . . . . really.

Cons: So far, every such hub I've purchased from at least two or three companies has the same diddly "USB solution:" You're supposed to route the cable from the rear of the front-panel hub, through a vacant PCI slot covered with the hub's own backplate through which the USB cable passes on its way to a mobo I/O-panel USB port. They should really provide something like a "combo-cable," with either the metal-shrouded USB "A" connector, with a 9-pin and 5-pin motherboard plug. It should at least have USB "A" and a 9-pin plug.

Other Thoughts: I took my motherboard's auxiliary rear-panel USB to-motherboard cable, removed the PCI backplate, hooked the cable to the motherboard, and the hub to the cable. Used their backplate to replace the auxiliary USB port -- with a dab of silly-cone rubber sealant to plug the hole.

Look around your local PC-use-and-new cyber-junk hole-in-the-wall shop, and you might find various types of these USB-PCI mobo-to-rear-panel USB ports -- for each maybe for $2 or so. The mobo connection has a ten-pin (often blue) female plug, with a corner hole plugged to match the missing motherboard pin.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat way to get extra ports!

Pros: I built this for somebody that had 2 usb hubs running all her stuff. I paired this with Koutech PCI to USB2.0 Card Model IO-PU520 and got 8 usb ports for 25$ and got have enough ports to get rid if both hubs :)

Cons: Not really a con but it has been said in past posts that power is an issue when installing this. It runs in the power cord normally meant for a floppy drive and every power supply I've worked with had one. That being said, if you intend to buy this and a floppy drive, you may have a problem

Other Thoughts: Great solution if you neeb usb ports. Each port has a light to tel you if what you plugged in is drawing power... nice touch

Wish it came in black ;)

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Works, it's just an external hub after all.

Cons: An internal USB cable would be nice.

4 out of 5 eggsGWC YU2240 ,4 port hub

Pros: Installed easily,fit well,works
great.

Cons: No power cable included.

Other Thoughts: The power cable should be included in the box.I had to cut a cable from an old power supply and splice in to make the hub work. The included instruction were very vague as to the cable needed.
