The SilverStone FN121 120mm black case fan provides essential cooling for today's desktop computers. The fan spins at slow 1,200rpm but is able to push more than twice the amount of air as an 80mm fan, providing efficient cooling whether it's used to pull cool air into your system or push hot air out.
The nine-blade fan connects to your motherboard's standard 3-pin or power supply's standard 4-pin fan connector for power and the included dampening pads help soften fan noise and keep vibrations caused by other computer components from effecting the fan's operation.
Pros: The low 1200 RPM and the blade design make for a quiet and efficient fan. However, if you want high volumetric flow (to spec) then you're gonna have to cut out the stamped fan grill that most cases come with and use the grill supplied with this fan. This will make a considerable difference in flow rate and it will also make the fan even quieter (no turbulence through the mesh).
Cons: The fan's power connector is a legacy 4 pin Molex connector with a Male/Female pigtail. The fan also has a small three pin connector for connection to mobo fan plugs BUT it only has the RPM sense wire, no power wires. This makes for a less than ideal setup for those who want to just plug the fan into a mobo fan connector.
Other Thoughts: In the past I hadn't given much thought to fan noise. But with my last build I used this fan and also used a Thermaltake TR2 500W power supply that uses a low rpm 120 mm fan. This combo made for a much quieter 'puter. Oh yes, I also have a quiet 80 mm fan sucking air in from the front of the case and blowing across the HDs.

Excellent Fan for the price

Pros: Any product by Silverstone is of execellent quality. Seeking a cheap, yet quiet 120mm fan solution, I decided to pick up one of these. The first thing I noticed while unboxing this thing was that it was relatively hefty. No cheap plastic here - build quality was solid, and doesn't feel like the product would let anyone down. For a price in the single digits, this thing packs a punch, and still manages to be silent. Although the fan does not have a variable RPM controller, this fan is quiet enough that I can run it at 100% 24/7 without any bother. (This is especially because of the low 1200rpm max) Not only was the fan cheap, but Silverstone was nice enough to give you a free 120mm chrome wire fan grill for your fan! More efficient airflow to your fan and it looks much better too. Just remember that if you are using the chrome wire grill for your fan as a rear exhaust, you might need to cut out the inefficient grill your case comes standard with ...
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: This product is my #1 recommendation for a 120mm fan, period. Despite having less features or CFM compared to other fans, the price to performance ratio of this budget fan is astronomical. Whoever buys this fan will love it, no questions asked. Silverstone has always had great products, and this one is no exception. The best part is, it costs less than 10 bones - no regrets whatsoever.

Great case fan, reliable, decent air, whisper quiet

Pros: Just added 3 of these babies into my Antec 300, 2 front intakes and 1 side intake. Replaced various other 120mm's. They move the same or more air and are much quieter. These are the perfect case fan where several are in use and uber high CFM (where the scythe slipstream 110cfm is the man) are not needed. Use the Silverstone adjustable high speed one or Scythe 110cfm slipstream for CPU HSF fan tho.
Cons: None. Could have a higher default RPM and more cfm, these guys are 1200rpm, they are so quiet I would have been fine with 1400-1600. But with 3 of them its plenty.
Other Thoughts: My favorite choice for a case fan, as long as more than 1 intake and 1 exhaust are being used. Id go higher cfm for just 1 of each. Luckily not a problem on the fantastic Antec 300 case I have, or the 900/1200 variations which also are great.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Pulls great air for what im using it for
Cons: wish it had come with some longer mounting screws but no big deal
Other Thoughts: I had a top 230 mm fan go out on me after 3 months of use on a Thermaltake V9 case, well i read up on the fans an seems ppl have been having trouble with them goin out. So i deciede to mount this 120 mm fan in its place since its just to pull air outta the case
An it works surprising better then the 230 mm fan did, i would recommend this fan to any one, in fact ill prob be replacing the other fans in my case with silver stone
