5 out of 5 eggsI'll second that

Pros: Funny that someone would post the same day I got sentimental and looked it up. Great board, lost the on board video some time ago but just popped in an old 9600gt that I had lying around and voila good as new. Retired from gaming, this baby has scanned over 300 GB of documents and uses all of the USB ports that it has available.

Cons: Just the video going down

Other Thoughts: Too bad ABIT bit the dust they made one hell of a motherboard. All of my ABIT's are still functional.

4 out of 5 eggsFinally retired to a NAT Box

Pros: I thought I'd toss in a memorium, got this board the end of 2007 or so from the Egg or the old Tiger, can't recall. It was a BIOS nightmare at first but once a stable BIOS was flashed it has been a solid board with OC'd 4G of Crucial Ballistics and a 5400 Brisbane. It's had new HD's, DVD a PS fan and occasional air gun de-dusting and it has been a 24/7 machine, It was first a main desktop piece then it's been a workbench machine ever since. I never ran a board this long, so I thought I'd give a review to a seriously obsolete MoBo. It will now be transferred to the Firewall dept. We shall see just how long this thing will go.

Cons: I forgot, been way too long

1 out of 5 eggsGo with an ASUS or Biostar

Pros: Did not even get the chance to start it up. But several good features. Looks nice. Has SATA and onboard video.

Cons: Recieved it with a SATA port missing! Yes a black SATA port ,only metal pins were showing! Have never seen anything like it before.

Other Thoughts: The SATA ports are loose they come off easy!! RMA'd this to get a full refund. Going to buy new motherboard from Asus or Biostar.

3 out of 5 eggsPoor onboard video and connectors

Pros: Nice looks, adequate cooling and features. Plenty of USB headers and SATA connectors.

Cons: Onboard video was annoyingly choppy on QT HD video and eventually crashed over and over after a bit of watching. Not a cooling issue like others have expressed as everything was still cool to the touch. Rear Panel Connectors for onboard video are very loose and easy to bend.

Other Thoughts: Add even a moderate video card and this becomes a very stable and powerful HTPC platform.

5 out of 5 eggsAbit AN-M2 Motherboard

Pros: This is a great board for the price, I have had no trouble using this board with Windows XP x86_64 or Ubuntu x86_64. It has an AMD Athlon 64 bit processor installed on it and the system just screams, very fast. Had very little configuration and it worked out of the box.

Cons: none at this time.

Other Thoughts: I will use this board again on other new system builds.

4 out of 5 eggsOk board, tends to lock up for periods!

Pros: Nice looking small, easy to install all parts.

Cons: Seems to lock up during loading of any install, Vista 64, WOW, Drivers, etc. Dont know if this is board or not but since Im using the exact same HD and Rom on my computer, just diff mobo and processor, I tend to start thinking where the problems lie. Also, the sate connectors arent in the easiest spot to be reached, and its cramped trying to hook anything up in there.

Other Thoughts: I used to use Abit mobos all of the time for my past computers, however for my recent gamming rig I went to EVGA and an intel setup and everything worked flawlessly, Maybe it was better to pay a bit more and get a intel setup and go with a diff mobo than deal with the constant lockups that this computer has:( Still not too bad overall, Ive gotten everything to work so far.

4 out of 5 eggsQuirky, but good.

Pros: Inexpensive, feature-rich.

Cons: A little quirky.

Other Thoughts: A very nice board, other than the quirks. ALWAYS update the BIOS first. Doesn't like installing windows from a USB CD drive. Sometimes fidgety with USB floppies. Otherwise, an all-around winner, and recommended. I have eight of these, and have loved them.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING MOTHERBOARD!

Pros: Amazing board! Ive owned both generations of the Abit nView (the 7025 & 6150) and it is just superb. If you want to make a home theater pc or any computer for multimedia use, this is what you need. Comes with VGA and DVI for dualview support and 8 channel audio. As well as all of the basics; DDR2, SATA, Gigabit, Optical, etc.. What more could you ask for at this price?!

Cons: eSATA would be nice..

Other Thoughts: Built a liquid cooled HTPC using this board.. Took quite a while to mod the MATX case to get everything to fit.. Had a leak after a few months and the RAM slots are a bit buggy but it still works!
