4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board But...

Pros: Sharp Looking Board , very good price, comes with nice little daughter board for sound, all the bells and whistles you could want i could see this board selling for more with all it comes with.

Cons: does NOT support Duo Core 2 processors. This board would be godly if it could use Duo Core 2 processors.

Other Thoughts: I had to send this board back unfortunately since i couldn't use it with my new processor. but newegg as always TOP NOTCH customer service and prompt RMA. I ended up with MB ABIT AW9D 975X 775 again bought from newegg. A little more expensive still a solid ABIT board pretty easy over clocking, whish it came with a nice little daughter board for sound too but on board so far is good enough.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: excellent board, lots of features, low price.. SATA, USB, IEEE 1394 and 2 16x PCI-E Slots! What more could you want? Maybe a Pentium D 805 to overclock the life outta! Great BIOS setup, it saved my CPU when the stupid intel HS/Fan came lose on the chip, it killed power to the CPU and saved the chip from a hot death! On board sound is actually quite decent, I'm impressed.

Cons: Use rounded cables for IDE drives, standard cables will get in the way!

Other Thoughts: Works perfect with G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 RAM. I got it in here and it's running fine!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: This is a well layed out board with all the features I was looking for to upgrade a friend's system.

Cons: I should have read the fine print as I assumed Newegg's CPU specs on this board were a typo. This is the only 975x chipset motherboard that doesn't support the Core2Duo CPU.

Other Thoughts: Promptly returned the board. Newegg was excellent on this and purchased a nVidia based board instead that's working great.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks wonderful.

Cons: I got this with a combo Dual core cpu... although the mobo doesn't not support Dual, which im my case I did not know till I tryed to install the two.

Other Thoughts: Why on earth would you have a combo special with an incompatible product?? Makes no sense to me...

4 out of 5 eggsBad onboard audio

Pros: Very nice board overall. Very stable OC with P4. Couldn't beat it for the price.

Cons: The onboard audio is horrible. I can't get sound to come out of all of my speakers. Hopefully someone will have a solution soon.

4 out of 5 eggsStability & Performance is everything but no core 2 duo for you!

Pros: Blazing 775 Chipset that doesn't run hot like the 680i's and isn't plagued by bugs. Incredible overclocking, VERY stable, descent slot layout, Good price @ 109, great looks. Good passive chipset cooling. It's not made in China. Abit's tech support and customer service is better then Asuks but that's still not saying much.

Cons: The Bios update for memory didn't come out until 2/6/07. If you bought the board prior to that you might have had a seriously bad taste in your mouth. NewEgg is still selling this w/ Conroe bundles but THIS BOARD DOESN't SUPPORT core 2 duo. Included audio is mediore but even the most expensive mobo's ime don't come with stellar audio. What is Abit's problem? The 2nd Pci-E on this board is 4x's and 8x's on the $209 AW9D Max board.

Other Thoughts: I can afford to buy anything but I refuse to pay the insanely depreciating prices for *the best* pc hardware when their's people in Africa so poor they're eating their pets for dinner. I bought this board for a sorta budget mid/high-end build to realize the full OC potential of the cheap Smithfield 805 2.6ghz w/aircooling so my kids would have a rocking gaming machine. Mission Accomplished.

Smithfield 2.6ghz OC'd to 3.8Ghz 100%stable w/Zalman 9700+Artic Silver
Crucial BallistX 6400 2x1Gigs
Evga GeForce 8800GTS 640mg(stock freq. for now).
Asux PhysX

My first build was a topshelf Abit KT7A-Raid w/Amd T-bird 1.4@1.8 back in the day. They continue to make topshelf products.

Maybe it will support Core 2 Duo in the future but don't count on it. Highly reco'd for Smithfield OC build now that they have a bios update for memory problems but buy quality memory that can be used later.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard!

Pros: This is one of the best motherboards I have ever worked with. I have developed a distinct respsect for it. It's allot like the AW9D motherboard except that it lacks support for the Core 2 Duo.

Cons: There is ONE! problem that I dont see as much of a problem for me. It does not support the core 2 duo. And it's a crossfire board, so dont be fooled about the SLi connector in the box. "though it does make you wonder" lol

Other Thoughts: I am enjoying this board and all if offers. I'm using a Pentium D 805 overclocked, with Patriot Signature DDR2 667 ram, and a Geforce 7600gs from Gigabyte. The performance beat out practically every preset system on Sandara 2007 if that means anything to everyone here.

5 out of 5 eggscatches a bad rap

Pros: This board works very well if you understand what you're getting into. Overclocks like a champ. (Pentium D 805 from 2.66 ghz to 4.1 Ghz.) Silent cooling functions well. Does support DDR 800 with Bios revision. The Audio Max has worked without a hiccup. If you're not going to get a Core 2 duo, this is one of the best boards you could get.

Cons: Cpu voltage regulators get a bit hot while overclocking. Removed the silent OTES heatsinks and replaced the thermal pads with Arctic Silver. Added an adjustable cooling fan and aimed it at them. Cool as ice now. uGuru has no digitally signed driver available, so Windows Vista will not allow you to run it.

Other Thoughts: The only real problem with this board is that it does not support Core 2 Duo.

1 out of 5 eggsNot Happy

Pros: Packaged very well, neatness counts. nice audio card that comes with it.
Pretty.

Cons: I ordered two of these. I build the computer systems for a large reseller. Both powered on, both had no video in pci-x or pci.

Other Thoughts: 2 DOA on the same order tells me it may have been a bad batch. Which means there are more unhappy owners of a chunk of silicon. We RMA'ed still waiting on a return. I purchased these over others due to the temperature readings I was getting from asus' boards with core duo they were in excess of 59 degrees celcius.

I heard these would run much cooler. My boss will be having me order a different mobo in the future. :(
