5 out of 5 eggs5 years now

Pros: The board has worked well for over 5 years now with no housekeeping. I have used everything from an 8600 video card to 8800gtxxx to 5770 ati and it doesn't care, I am on my third power supply, the voltage out in the country is pretty spikey even though I do use a couple of surge limiters ahead of it.

Cons: none that come to mind.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board, great value

Pros: Great board, no problems installing, I had no problem lining up with holes and have been running it for nearly a year with not one glitch.

Cons: Someone else mentioned their graphics card sits close to the chipset heatsink - I agree, but it really hasn't caused a problem for me.

Other Thoughts: I would buy it again.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Great Mobo that has plenty of expansion slots for the price. Looks good and functions perfectly. Cheap for what it's got.

Cons: The mobo holes didn't match up perfectly with my case so I dunno whether to blame the mobo or my apevia case. I have about 5 screws out of the 8 recommended or whatnot. Works fine but would make me happier if it just worked?

Also....sometimes when i touch something the wrong way the computer shuts off due to bad connection somewhere. Also not sure what to blame but im assuming its a bad connection with my video card or sound card shutting down windows to prevent damage.

Other Thoughts: Does the trick. Maybe spend a little more to avoid little annoyances like I have? If you're tight on money like I was this is a really good motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggsGood BUT!

Pros: Really Good MOBO!!! I really like the layout. You do need to watch placement so that you dont cover up the heat sinks. Note this MOBO thay do get really HOT! I added an extra fan at the bottom of my tower to help with heat.. Other wise the set up and drivers and such when like clock work. As stated by others make sure you have a power supply with SATA conectors. The over clocking for this MOBO is awsom with the AMD Athlon 64x2 5000+ 2.6 gig Black Edition. With help from the overclocking programs given with the MOBO I was able to pull 3.5gig out of mine... Would recomend this MOBO for sure....

Cons: Now there is a program that comes with this MOBO that is a BIOS killer. I am not joking about this at all, The program is said to allow you to place a LOGO in the BIOS for start up. There is no info or instrustion with it and it you use it you are asking for it.. It will erase your Bios and write garbage in its place makeing sure when you reboot you have a wonderful Paper Weight!!!!! At you expence This is only a warning for those like me that like to play with the programs that a re given with the MOBO's.
Heat issue with Bridge.....

Other Thoughts: Other wise the only other grip I have is the heat that comes from the Bridge thay really need a better way to handle this but I added a fan that works really well for this.
If you like to play DO NOT MESS WITH THE LOGO program uninstall it and leave it alone or dont let it install withthe drives and such... The over clocking program is great and as long as you take small steps with uping the speed it really dose well.

My sys build m57sli-s4, Athlon 64x2 2.6gig black edition, 500 gig SATA HDD, Nvidia GeForce 7600GT Times 2 for SLI, 4 GIG 800Mhz FSB DDR, Gigabyte G-Power Lite CPU Fan... Work really well!!!

Have fun with your new build SLI is the way to go for 3d model design and gameing!!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfection Overall

Pros: Works perfectly with a wide range of expansion slots. Two PCI Express slots (SLI) which are compatible with the newer PCI Express 2.0 video cards(They just run a little slower due to mobo restrictions of not being fast enough) Huge amount of RAM slots (16Gb) capable and you can also get faster ddr2 800 to stay with the 1066 ram speeds almost. I built my computer with it about a year ago and it works just like it should without any problems!

Cons: Doesn't serve me breakfast...

Other Thoughts: Great board even if old and Gigabyte's Bio is superb and easily understandable also completely relevant to a gamer! SLI ready(Which is what I'm doing with 9600's after having an XFX 8400gs 512mb G card in it for a year) It's just a reliable and cheap motherboard, I highly recommend!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: Good, stable performance; 4 months with no issues which is a miracle for me. The board has plenty of onboard features, supports SLI, and can take newer AMD CPU's, so it's somewhat future-proofed.

Cons: Using a longer video card may get in the way of the chipset heatsink. My card (8800GT) goes right over it, but again I've had no problems myself.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for budget

Pros: -Fast
-Good features in BIOS i.e. overclocking
-OC'd 5000+ black edition to 3.2 successfully with no crashes. Forunately since it's so good, I can bring it back down to 2.8 ghz and still run smooth. (XP Pro)

Cons: -Flimsy and fragile. Noobs, please be safe.
-could have more connectors for power.
-strange placement of connectors.

Other Thoughts: Been going strong for a year so far, what does that tell ya :)

Great Product MUST BUY if on budget.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: No problems with it! SATA Raid is nice, comfortable overclocking options.

Cons: Perhaps not the best board for Phenom? I wouldn't know. I kind've wish I'd gotten a -D series from Gigabyte, but that's just nitpicking.

Other Thoughts: Current system: This board, Brisbane 5400+ Black Edition, EVGA 8800GS Superclocked, 2x1GB Mushkin DDR2-800 at 4-5-4-11 2T, 2x 7200.11 in RAID 1, Terratec Aureon Space 7.1, Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU in a Lian-Li PC-61USB modified with lots'o'quiet stuff.
(Replaced a Northwood 2.6 on an ASUS P4G8X-DX)
