5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: I upgraded to this board from an 800 MhZ P2..so i don't have much to compare it too, A friend said "get MSI" I am really glad I did. No problems, concerns, very fast and reliable. If you aren't a serious gamer, say in need of SLI then this board is great.

Cons: None that I can think of, Thanks MSI! (and Newegg!)

Other Thoughts: MSI KN8 Neo4-F; 2.4 Gig AMD athlon Venice processor, 120 gig Seagate HDD; Samsung Writemaster DVD Drive. 512 Corsair Value Select memory..excellent!

3 out of 5 eggsdead burned up nforce4

Pros: Good compatibility

Cons: The nForce4 chip has a bad heatsink with a tiny fan. The tiny fan last about 1 year before the ball bearing seize up and then the nForce4 chip gets too hot and dies.

Other Thoughts: replace the oem heatsink on the southbridge chip and you'll be okay

5 out of 5 eggsGood bang for the buck

Pros: Excellent bang for the buck. Sure, it has SATA I instead of SATA II and no SLI, but what do you expect for the price? It's been stable as a rock for me for seven months now.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent mobo

Pros: Works excellent, very stable, work's flawlessly after a year.

Cons: More options with the memory timing, doesn't allow full control, over 2T to 1T.

Other Thoughts: Overall i am very satisfied, overclocking works like a champ, runs cool, and very quick.. thanks newegg!

3 out of 5 eggspretty decent

Pros: Stable; easy to set up with decent connectors; sufficient room for cable routing;

Cons: The manual states that memory modules must populate green slots first. I followed these instructions and had many problems. When, on a whim, I decided to populate the first two slots, a green and a purple, all problems disappeared. Also seems to have issues with slots 3 and 4. Come on, MSI, get it together! Also, button to reset CMOS is missing - had to do so by removing battery.
Northbridge fan will barely allow clearance of big GPU like 1950xt, but the GPU will fit, like my Sapphire

Other Thoughts: I am not using RAID and am running my drives on IDE channels. Proc is 64 3700 San Diego; 1 gig dual channel memory

5 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard.

Pros: Works fine. Good price, good functionality. Haven't any problems with it. The onboard sound sounds just fine - it was part of the reason I got the motherboard. It had those sound ports and all the other things I was looking to have on it. Bought it over a year ago and it's been working strong since.

Cons: If anything, it still has the Parallel and Serial ports on there. I don't think anyone uses them for anything...

Other Thoughts: Running with an Athlon 64 3200+, 2x512mb Corsair ValueSelect PC3200 and a Connect3D X800GTO. Haven't tried any overclocking.

3 out of 5 eggsBEWARE!

Pros: It's a good motherboard for the price. A few nice features.

Cons: BEWARE! On the specs page on this website it says it can support up to 4GB of memory. This is not necessarily true, if you read the fine print on the manufacturer's website it says the architecture might not support all 4. Plus the second IDE channel doesn't work (on mine at least)

Other Thoughts: If you don't need all 4GB of ram and you don't have a lot of IDE drives, then this is a good motherboard for the money. Otherwise, if you are insane (like me) and want 4GB of RAM, then this isn't your board.

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT BUDGET BOARD

Pros: First off, for what you get this board is a great deal! Combined with the right video card and good ram you've got yourself a cheap but awesome gaming machine! Fairly overclockable too!

Cons: No SATA 3 gb/sec, no SLI, and I paid too much for my board! and I really wish it had a better chipset cooler!

Other Thoughts: I was able to overclock my AMD 3800+ to 2.6 stable with Memory at 432mhz in dual channel mode!(good thing I have great cooling) Hint, lower your HT multiplier to 4x and start raising that FSB! and good luck!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mobo

Pros: First MSI product and very pleased. Quite literally slid this board under a 80gb HD that was setup for XP Pro with a GA-7N400L-S. Loaded the MSI drivers I was up and running. Even the ATI TV tuner card still worked! Upgraded to capture video and create DVD's. So far it's proving to cut 50-65% of video processing time I was seeing with GA-7N400L-S/2600+ Barton combo. Would buy again!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Athlon 64 3700+ (idles at 32C, after +1 hr video rendering 45C), Evga 7300GT, 2-512MB Corsair Valueselect.

5 out of 5 eggsGo MSI

Pros: Great low priced board to build with, not the first time using MSI boards for builds, I think they build good products and from what I read their service is good also.

Cons: I do not like the way the PCI EXPRESS video card is over the south bridge fan but does not seem to cause any overheating.

Other Thoughts: I used to use ASUS boards but the rateings they get for service turned me away.
