5 out of 5 eggsGreat motherboard

Comments: The first motherboard I used to build my first gaming PC and it has been great to me. Easy to install and everything working. Running great. Thanks newegg for helping me build my first custom PC.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat board with great sound

Comments: Works great with 3500+ and X800 GTO with corsair memory. No problems except most of the drivers/programs on the CD are outof date and needs to be updated manually. The onboard creative sound is the biggest pulling factor.

5 out of 5 eggsSomething I noticed

Comments: I got this board a little over a month ago and I gotta say it's still running perfectly. One thing I noticed before I bought this was that it doesn't say it is compatible with the AMD 64 X2's. I don't have an X2 in mine but the box I got with my board came with a big neon green sticker saying that it supports the X2 CPU's. The picture of the box the board comes in that Newegg provides does not have this sticker. Maybe it's just a new version they're shipping out. Also to answer the person's question below, it uses the nForce4 SLI drivers. It's just that it's on the Neo4 design board. Hope that helps. I highly recommend this board.

5 out of 5 eggsQuestions

Comments: I enjoy the MSI products I've previously purchased, however I do have questions about this product before it actually gets to my house.
-Does Live Update really select the appropriate drivers and BIOS for this board?
-What exactly is this board... nForce 4 SLI or nForce 4 Neo? I don't know what BIOS to download nor which drivers to get.

Maybe someone here can give me an explanation, because the contacts on the MSI site are distributors.

5 out of 5 eggsTHIS DOES THE TRICK!

Comments: In the first 2 hours of building this machine, it really sucked. Wouldn't boot with 2 sticks of Crucial certified RAM. Messed with it for 2 days and no POST. Took one stick of RAM out and it POSTED-boom! Smooth sailing ever since. I have not used SLI, but it's there in the future. I have heard the chipset fans of these go bad, but we good so far after 2 months. You talk about quiet! I can barely hear it when I turn it on. 4 fans and still very little noise.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent board, straight forward setup

Comments: Bought this to replace an Asus one that had problems. Setup was easy You need to F6 during WinXP setup to install HD drivers supplied on a floppy disk. Only con I can think of is that the PCIE slot doesn't have a rear card lock to hold the video card better in place. I just use two screws to hold the metal brace to make it more sturdier. And the PCIE cards do clear the chip fan easily, which I was concerned about before I purchased it. About as straight forward as motherboard set ups go. Called toll free support line to get info on the F6 install issue, very freindly english speaking tech out of California. My PC now FLIES around my room..I recommend this board but give it only a 4 because though it's a excellent board it doesn't have any features or utilities that stand out.

AMD 64 4800+ 1Ghz FSB 1MB L2cache
1GB, 2x512MB CorsairXMS DDR400 RAM
200GB WD SATA HD

Yeah BABY!

5 out of 5 eggsThis board is Diamond

Comments: This board is the MSI K8N NEO4 DIAMOND board. Comparing to review pictures, everything is all identical. This board I THINK is just a newer revision of the diamond, and newegg doesnt have hte name changed. Same corcell bios placement, and no pci-e x1 slot. Strangely alike, and most likely the same.

Im planning on getting this board, and just needed that reasurrance.

If needed RMA thru newegg people!

4 out of 5 eggsIssuuueesss

Comments: Doesn't let my system restart back up @240+ FSB, I must do a cold boot (turning the system off, then on again) in order for it to run again.
