Setup fast-n-easy
- Pros: The board setup quick, everything fired up at power on and I have had no issues so far.
- Cons: I was glad I read the reviews here before I set the board up, I made sure to buy a longer IDE cable and I updated the bios from a disk rather than risk using the windows updater.
- Other Thoughts: once all the drivers were updated overclocking went smooth.
This is a good MB with a lot of nice features.

- Pros: Great overclocking Motherboard. PC ran flawless before board died.
- Cons: Ah where to begin. Worked for 2 months then just up and died on a reboot. Wouldnt even post/boot to a bios. Everything else still works fine MB just wont work. It does show the green light on for power though =/
- Other Thoughts: ANTEC 900 Gaming, mushkin 4GB DDR2 800, Intel Core 2 Duo Q6800, MSI 8800GTX ultra OC 726 Video Card. Seagate berracuda 350GB 7200, Philips 20x DVD burner,
ASUS P5k Piece of junk.
Overall, a good board.
- Pros: Easy to get in there and overclock should you want to do it. Easy setup. No problems. No issues with board layout. It may seem like things are in weird places, but I find it works out. The IDE at the bottom is a good thing. I use a PCI IDE controller card, so ALL my IDE cables now comes out of the same area, easier to tie them down. Plenty of room around the cpu for a good sized heatsink/fan.
- Cons: The built-in firewire chipset is VIA, and not Texas Instruments. I use this PC for audio (Pro Tools), and most firewire audio interfaces need or prefer TI chipsets. My old Asus A8N-SLI had a TI firewire chipset, and I wish this did too. I had to drop another 45 bucks on an SIIG firewire card with a TI chipset.
- Other Thoughts: Using this board with a Q6600, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, 4GB (2x2GB) G.Skill DDR2 800 RAM, MSI nVidia 7300LE video card, and Thermaltake 430w PSU. Everything works in harmony.
