Good Mobo
- Pros: more options that you can shake a stick at, fast, very good upgradability, and most importantly, it works great.
- Cons: the only possible con i have to this mobo is that the heat sink on the edge that has the ASUS tag on it does not seam to be very well attached. wile installing it, i accidentally bumped it several times, jarring it out of place. i dont think i ever did any permanent damage and its still wicking heat away like a champ, but it still worries me.
- Other Thoughts: socket with a good life ahead of it, DDR3, 4 PCIX16 slots, decent price. this board is the way to go for those that dont like to get a new computer ever year or 2.
- Pros: Lots of USB and SATA ports. This board will support up to 8 monitors. Onboard heatsinks work well.
- Cons: IDE controller not handled by the BIOS. Only SATA handled by the BIOS.
- Pros: able to use pentium D, auto matically accepted the corsair DDR3 1333 (slowed down to 800, due to FSB), orientation works well with ATI HD 3870, let me use an after market cpu cooler ( tight fit but allows the fan to cool the other parts as well.
- Cons: only 1 ide on mobo, I had all ide drives up till now so i had to go buy a new drive so i could make one ide work.
- Other Thoughts: Everything fit and worked great so far, no issues.
