4 out of 5 eggsEasy

Pros: Mid-range board. Had lots of good ports.. IDE,SATA,ETC.
Good Package by NewEgg.

Cons: If you want a minor upgrade or good surfing machine for someone.
Not for gaming unless you have a high end CPU that will work with the board, and need PCI-E.

Other Thoughts: The Case I bought was a little smaller than realize.. So the SATA where cover by the hard drive. So two of them are not useable with the drive in current location..

5 out of 5 eggsReasonably Good MoBo

Pros: This is a great beginners board. It has enough connectors to get you up and running comfortably in little time.

Cons: Don't forget to connect the second power connector (not much of a con really, just a reminder) and stay away form the 'extras' on the installation CD. Some of the applications are basically useless and may actually result in system instability.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great entry level board that has the enough functionality to get you going. I'd definately recommend it for someone on a tight budget.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Inexpensive Board

Pros: This board is a great 754 platform (754 isn't dead yet!) and with PCI-Express it's even better. Easy setup, all hardware is recognized in Ubuntu (except no DRI).

Cons: None :)

Other Thoughts: I'm running a Sempron 2800, 1GB of RAM and three SATA hard drives, and it runs great. Uptime of about 6 months now.

4 out of 5 eggsGood board for the right market

Pros: Low price. 4 SATA headers. PCIE slot. Perfect choice if you already have a processor and want to upgrade to PCIE.

Cons: Poor documentation (none for RAID). Poor choice for a new build- socket 775 or AM2 are far better choices.

Other Thoughts: This board solved a problem I had- I have a very expensive AMD 64 3700 processor, but my existing board was AGP. I thought upgrading to PCI express graphics would boost my system performance without costing a lot of money. It turns out I was right- plugged an ATI X1950 PRO into this baby and it was like getting a whole new computer. This is the perfect board for anyone who has a high end socket 754 processor and wants to get a few more years out of it. Not a good choice for a new build, though- socket 754 is a dead-end.

3 out of 5 eggsNot perfect but good enough

Pros: Very easy and cheap board to set up for a basic S754 system.

Cons: Ugly boot logo.
Sometimes the system hangs detecting the HD during boot. I just hit the reset and it boots up clean the next time. I can live with it since I'm near the PC, but for a basement or otherwise unattended file server it would be a pain if it hung during a power cycle.

Other Thoughts: Good drivers combined with stable operation at a rock bottom price make this a decent buy for someone looking for a basic but very capable PC.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy setup, started right up, very stable.

Cons: Socket might be already out dated but for price its great.

Other Thoughts: When moving up to PCI Express 16 video card it was the best inexpensive option.

2 out of 5 eggsBeware

Pros: None

Cons: The board was DOA. Appears that I was shipped refurbished board. ZIF socket arm was broken. VERY disappointed.

Other Thoughts: Newegg's service is usually very good. I was very dissatisfied with this order, though.
