- Pros: Fast and reliable. Great value.
- Cons: Layout is somewhat counter-intuitive, but manageable. Bulky mounting bracket for the CPU. Still, it's worth the buy.
Great
- Pros: Made a very nice budget gamer with this as a base. Athlon 64 4000+ retail, 2Gb of Adata ram, Biostar 8600 GTS, 160Gb Excelstor SataII, In-Win case. Initially going to just build a backup because I gave away my old spare, but these prices were too good to pass up. Newegg is THEE source.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: The lack of dual core doesn't bother me. It plays Crysis at 40 FPS 1024x768, medium.
BAD IDE SLOT
- Pros: according to the tech guy hired to diagnose my mystery "Now loading windows.... System Reboot" or "System_initialization_error3" problem, he says that the board looks and performs great... once you get it booted... (Which someday I really hope to see this board in action.) however, see cons
- Cons: Since I don't have a SATA CD/DVD and HDD, I can't boot or use the CD/DVD or HDD! The original and a NewEgg exchanged second version of this board BOTH have/had bad IDE slot... Therefore, I'm out $90 in tech fees, sending the MoBo to BioStar, and can't use my nifty computer for awhile longer. (~goes through net-gaming withdrawal~!)
- Other Thoughts: This MoBo, Windows XP Home, Athlon 64x2 6400 black, 2 gig ocz platinum series ram, 120G Seagate Barracuda HDD (last year's upgrade), artic cool heat sink and main case fan, secondary neon fans in case, 600W power supply, Unknown CD/DVD rom came from friend's spare parts. Plans to get stand-alone Video next quarter bonus, if I can get the mobo to work! Upgraded from Pentium 4 1.6 GH, Soyo MoBo, 512 ram, radeon 5600 (upgrade 2 yrs ago).
