Watch Your Memory
- Pros: Blazing speed. High capacity. Tyan. On top of all that it's sold on NewEgg so it has the best of all worlds. This board ROCKS.

- Other Thoughts: Purchased this board last Fall and since it's for my needs (which always come last as a consultant) I just recently got around to putting it together. Pay close attention to what memory you are getting to go with this MB. I made a newbie mistake and order 3 sticks of 1GB DDR400 and found out the hard way that it needed to be REGISTERED. Would not have been a problem but for the fact that the sticks I ordered were not and the MB will not post without it. The manual states that only the first slot needs to be registered but that is not true. Make sure all memory purchased for this memory is REGISTERED (also popularly known as BUFFERED). Hope this helps someone else from making my mistakes.

- Pros: Big pro is that I did not need to purchase a new power supply with 24 and 8 pin connections, though I did. The board designers were brilliant by providing two ways to power the board using 20 and 4 pin connections along with the standard 12v hard drive power connection. They layout is cooler friendly with drive connectors on the board periphery, and more than ample circulation fan connections (4).
- Cons: It's more of a heads up, the board had 4 case fan connections, but they are all located at the front. I have not found anything similar to cool and quiet that throttles the cooling fans, so make sure you heatsink cooling purchase accordingly. No online update program found yet, which was a bonus with ASUS and MSI.
- Other Thoughts: I was a die hard Asus fan but this board gives me reason to jump ship. The system started right up after connecting all the parts and flew. The bios was easy to manuever, though the manual that came with the board was several revisions behind.
No complaints
- Pros: I don't own this particular product but, for the last 5 years, I have owned the Tyan Tiger MP, one of their older dual boards. It has worked very well for these past years and I would buy another one. I would refer anyone to Tyan.
- Cons: The only problem I can think of with the older board is that the chipset is starting to cause problems during boot after being on for a long time. I would suggest purchasing a chipset heatsink to make things run a little more smoothly.
