5 out of 5 eggs39c Idle, 56c Load

Pros: ~Awesome performance for the price!
~More than enough power to run Photoshop and Painter
Work VERY well with multiple monitors!

Cons: ~Not real big on the software bundle, if you can call that a con.
~Would like to see ATI Tool (or other temp monitoring software)in the bundle rather than having to download.
~Fan is a little loud.

Other Thoughts: Traditionally been a nVidia card user, but this card has proven a contender.

Newegg replaced my original card with a driver conflict for this card... you just can't beat Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsquality

Pros: Fast, inexpensive, only requires a 300 watt power supply, does not require an additional power source like many other pcie cards, and easy to install.

I have an emachine T6524 with onboard ATI X200 graphics, which is fine for surfing the net, and doing basic computing but not for gaming. When I bought the system I planned on taking advantage its pcie slot and upgrade to an ATI X800 card. Unfortunately the ATI cards all required a minimum 350 watt power supply my system only came with a 300 watt. I did not want to spend the addition money on a new power supply plus the cost of the ATI card was to high. Finding the PowerColor X800 solved all my problems the cost was half the ATI card and a power supply upgrade was not needed.

I’ve been playing Quake 4, and Far Cry at 1024x768 at the highest setting and they look and play great. This is an awesome graphics card!

Cons: Install documentation isn’t very good.

4 out of 5 eggs63c full load

Pros: Fast, cheap, plays BF2.

Cons: Yeah artic silencer will not work on this card..... Powercolor did not follow reference placement of chips or mounting holes. Got to the gpu and looked at it.... HmMmmm that's not going to work well...

Other Thoughts: Mount a Zalman. Also is rather quiet. not silent but not annoying. (Like my buddies 1900 xtx's hahaha, no clearance between cards = fear crashes HAHAHA, had to use atitool to spool fans earlier, and boy are they LOUD! My fan at 100% is like his at 10%) LOLOLOLOL

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I'm on a p4 3Ghz with a gig of ram and the PCX800GTO lets me play Battlefield 2 almost at max settings at 1024x768 resolution (aa and af and all the bells and whistles.) I play cs source at max 1024 with 80fps, no OCing needed and I only have a 400w PS.

Cons: Has stumbled a few times, given me some kicks to the desktops and 2 lockups since i've had the card, (2 1/2 months). Getting a better power-supply and better-than-stock cooling should remedy this, and for it's performance it is an acceptable flaw for most moderate gamers.

Other Thoughts: Great bang for the buck, I bought it at xxx$ and am still satisfied with the purchase; even though it dropped xx$ in just a little over a month.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap for its' features

Pros: GDDR3, and 256 megabytes of it. Memory is clocked at 350, which means 700 since it's ddr, but I've had it past 450 (900 ddr) the core oc is 420+ or so.

Also very durable, withstood a noob install trick (pushing on the cooler, DOH!) on my part. Amazing.

Cons: I can't really say I got anything other than what I expected.

5 out of 5 eggsvery good card

Pros: its a very good card for the price. i was running CS:S with high settings (1024x768; no aa/af) and i was getting 100-150fps. (AMD 64 3500, 512MB). once i get my other stick of 512, i will try a higher resolution with aa/af.

Cons: cant think of any, havent really trieed to OC or anything - the 350mem is kinda lame, although its capable of 700.

Other Thoughts: a very nice mid range card, maybe the best for its price

4 out of 5 eggsHaven't done much with each

Comments: All I know is that it plays Warcraft 3 in 1280x1024x32 and max settings (maximum resolution for my LCD) without a hint of slowdown.

People recommended me to buy a GDDR3 version, I'll probably do that in a few months and sell this one out. Gotta test it on Quake 4 and Doom 3 first.

It also brings all the necesary adapters and a free game (Hitman Contracts for me)

1 GB OCZ gold series, 3000+ venice, DFI NF4-D

5 out of 5 eggsBigLu

Comments: AWESOME!!! That's all I can say. I upgraded from a Celeron and FX5200, to a Athlon 64 3200+ and this card and all I can say is that this kills it. I can play HL2 and CS:S at 1280x1024 at full setting with 4x aa and 4x af with no slowdown what so ever. Pictures and video look beautiful. GET THIS CARD!!!

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Comments: With my first PC build I found myself in the position of wanting gaming power at a reasonable price (less than $xxxx total). At first I almost gave up on top-of-the-line video cards, and I almost got a 6600GT. Then I found this - with a rebate no less.
I am able to play Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 @ 1280x1024 w/ 2XAA, with High on everything with only minor slowdown few and far between - it's really nothing to worry about. I feel the 12 pipelines are sufficient for today's games, and the price-to-performance ratio can't be beat. The only minor qualm I have with my PC is noise. Something in my Shuttle case is louder than my old Vaio, but I'm not sure if it's the case or this card, so I'm sticking with my 5-egg rating.
I feel like I took a gamble with this card, but it turned out great. I'll never shop from anywhere else.
