Great basic graphics, but very annoying fan.
- Pros: I purchased this graphics card based on the recommendations of other reviewers on this website. It produces great graphics at a very cheap price. No problems performance-wise for the nongamer.
- Cons: Unfortunately, unlike other reviewers here, the fan was incredibly loud and annoying. It made a routine 'click-click-click' sound, as if you were spinning a game show wheel at 10,000 rpm. Clearly, my fan was defective.
PNY's customer service was subpar, as they told me to just return the card back to Newegg. I didn't want to chance having another defective card, so I exchanged it for the fan-free eVGA 7200GS.
good........but
- Pros: I love it but the fan failed after 6 months and had to go back to onboard video but I will put it back in if I find a good replacement cooler.
- Cons: the fan failed
- Other Thoughts: does everything I want .....runs good with vista
- Pros: Card raised my vista graphics rating from a 4.0 to 4.4. Fit in the casing nicely. Runs quiet.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: This card is much better than my old ATI x1550. The drivers I had installed for it didn't work(the ATi) so not many games played well. It runs my games with full detail. Of course, my games aren't exactly new.
Also, my last card was a card I got off a friend, and he put a new fan on it. The fan was massive and didn't fit in the casing, went into the heatsink. This card is normal size and runs great!
No noise compared to the CPU fan I have, so it runs quietly.
