Runs all games @ max
- Pros: The best card price to performance Ive had to date - runs all the games I have played @ all the settings maxed - This includes : Oblivion : Shivering Isles - Command & Conquer 3 :TW - CS:S *All half-life games/mods*.
So pretty much, if it runs those games at the highest settings, it runs them all :-) (Unless you plan on trying an outdated game 4-10 years back)
- Cons: *This is not even a minor con*
Ofcourse, if your playing an outdated game like WW2 Online, it wont improve much - was actually worse on performance, but my cpu held up and its smooth still.
- Other Thoughts: I was hesitant to buy this because of a review I read on Oblivion and this card not being able to hold up . But so far im running it max settings (HDR in game and set N*idia to Force AA max and ATF max)
8800GTS Smokes Evertything out but the GTX
- Pros: I originally bought the eVGA 8800GTS, then got the PNY 8800GTS
for SLI...IF I use just one it's the PNY even though they have the same clock speeds, the Pny looks a bit better, and Overclocks up to 910Core/1950 Mem with the Stock cooler in SLI it looks Awesome on my DEll 30" LCD at Max Resolution of 2560 x 1600 on BIOSHOCK in Vista Ulti. with DX10 it's about 18% better looking then XP PRO SP2 with DX9c
- Cons: None.. so I'll say more positive The guy on the front page who says that this card isn't much faster then his 6800GT, must be high..I had a 6800GT, it was a good card, not a Great card. The only better is the 8800GTX series
- Other Thoughts: This is a big card. You should have at least a 550Watt Dual-12x rail PSU for this and a roomy MOBO & Case. I have a 700Watt Corsair & I got it here too
NewEgg get's it all to you faster, with way less DOA then Tiger

dont buy anything from PNY
- Pros: the card was cheap when i got it as most of their line up is by comparison to other companies.
- Cons: you get what you pay for. the card malfunctioned 18 months after i got it because of a nv4_disp error that was not corrected despite downloading the latest driver. when i tried to contact the company, i found they have no email or phone number. THEY DONT WANT CUSTOMERS CONTACTING THEM!!! thats a red flag. dont buy anything from this shady company
Very good card
- Pros: Excellent graphics acceleration. Plays Oblivion at 1440x900 at ~30 fps outside (with HDR, and all graphics settings at high), plays COD4 on max settings with narry a hiccup.
FYI, my system is an Abit KN9 SLI with a be-2400 cpu, 4 gigs of ddr2 800 ram. I have only one of these, but if the price comes back down to the $135 I bought it at (thanks Newegg!) I'll SLI them.
- Cons: Mine came in a damaged plastic case, but worked fine. It does take up 2 slots. I'm not sure it's worth the ~$250 it usually goes for, but I'm a cheapskate.
- Other Thoughts: For the price I paid I doubt there's a better card, period. I would not have bought it at the current price, though.
Overall Happy
- Pros: First, I am not a gamer. I bought this card to do folding@home. In the first day I was already getting 2400ppd and I am sure this will climb once I get done tweeking.
- Cons: The card I received had been repackaged. The owners manual had hand writting through out it. This was not immediately noticable as the package had a nice shrink wrap on it.
- Other Thoughts: If and when this card becomes available, I will most likely purchase another on. This card has been know to produce almost as many points per day (ppd) as the new GTX280 at 1/4 the cost.
