Here's a video card for the gamer, engineer or artist with exacting standards. Using a GeForce 7900GS processor clocked at 525 MHz with 20 pixel pipelines, 256 MB GDDR3 memory (with a memory bandwidth of 42.2Gb/s); you're not talking "slow display" here!

It has two DVI connectors (with an adapter so it can be used on VGA-style monitors), and an integrated TV encoder putting out HDTV or S-Video. SLI-ready (so make certain your power supply can handle it!), it features PCI Express support to keep up with that fast GPU, it's Vista ready and can display a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

The next generation of games and hi-res applications is here already, so update to a card that knows how to talk to them.

4 out of 5 eggspure awesomeness!

Pros: great graphics power/resolution, quiet (for the most part), took quite a bit of use, and lasted me over 4 years.

Cons: died out annoyingly, acted like it was having driver issues, after a while would just drop signal to the monitor.

Other Thoughts: i read someone else's review saying their xfx cards have never last a day longer than 3 years... i'm sorry you've seen that, my brother and i have been using xfx for quite a while, i've lost track of how many cards, but its been rare for ours to last any less than 4 years...

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a few years, then died

Pros: Good card while it worked.

Cons: I've owned a few XFX cards and my friend has as well. It seems to be the case that right around the 3 year mark they puke.

Perhaps some buyers are OK with this. I personally am not. I build computers to last about 4 years and expect to use that computer on rare lan party occasions after that for legacy game lan parties.

I have completely ruled out XFX and have sworn to never buy them again unless other card manufacturers do the same - (sorry but 4 out of 4 cards that fail *right* at the 3 year mark is a little too much for coincidence for me, these cards need to at least be expected to make at a MINIMUM 4 years of use, hopefully they last much longer than that).

Other Thoughts: Everyone else raves about their cards. I care about longevity as much as how it performs. Maybe they'll treat you well.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Card

Pros: Very fast - not on par with some of the really high end 8800s, but you can't beat the price. Besides, I can play Oblivion, Gothic 3, Doom 3, Tiberium Wars and any other game I throw at it at max resolution with about 40-60 FPS average. Also very quiet.

Cons: If you overclock this guy make sure you have a good cooling system. I think it's made to overclock but I'm not messing with it b/c my temp started getting a bit hot.

5 out of 5 eggsBest 7-series card for the money.

Pros: Takes anything you can throw at it; Couter-Strike: Source, Battlefield 2142, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, all at 1440x900 at the highest detail settings. Truly excellent.

Cons: Sometimes 256MB of RAM just isn't enough, no matter how fast it is. Fan's a bit loud when stressed, but that's nitpicking.

Other Thoughts: Overclocks extremely well, hence the name. Can't wait to see how it does in SLI. Always buy from Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsmis-leading rebate offer

Pros: I'm happy with the card, works great! I'll be more careful when ordering online.

Cons: Read the fine print, I thought I was buying the card with a $30.00 rebate...I bought it 2 weeks b4 the offer period and XFX wont give it to me.

Other Thoughts: XFX; dont advertise a rebate prior to the offer period, its deceptive/mis-leading!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's still blowing my mind!

Pros: I bought this card 7 months ago, and it's still owning. I just decided to do a review on this because I got a 22inch LCD monitor from here and it's a killer monitor it's just that running this monitor at 1600X1050 resolution takes alot out of this card I got like 40 frames per second on Battlefield 2142 I'm not mentioning anyother games... Cause it's mostly that one. lol Go for a dual core processor if you're planning on buying this the only lack of frames is from my processor now... Go fig. =/

Cons: I only have 4 molex power connectors in my psu and dont have a PCIe connector I like how this comes with an adaptor but because it takes up two ports now I can't plug my second cd drive in. I should have checked that out prehand. lol

Other Thoughts: I need a new dual core processor and a new psu. lol

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Amazing Card. Plays mostly all games on High to Ultra High. I upgrade from an Ati x800, and the proformance of this is outstanding.

Cons: The stock fan is a little on the weak side. I have not overclocked the card because of this.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I got this card for last xmas and I ran it in my Dell. It ran pretty nice but the cpu was bottlenecking it.

A few days ago I built a new machine with an e6600 and..... wow. This card is pushing out 90-120 fps at all times on bf2 maxed out, 80-90 fps in 2142 maxed out, 70-90fps in css and the list goes on.

This card if amazing for the price.

Cons: None that I can think of.
