Pros: Simple, low cost and easy to install. Works inside of windows XP so you don't need to reload windows to use.

Cons: This card is for use after Windows is installed so the operating system must be on another drive beside the two that this card adds. The additional drives do not show up in bios and you can't add the drivers during a fresh Windows install.

Other Thoughts: They really should include two cables.

SATA problems in Ubuntu Linux 6.06

Pros: USB 2.0 works very well

Cons: SATA support does not work well in Ubuntu Linux 6.06. I have not tried it with any other operating systems. Drives error when I perform full disk diagnostics. First time I encountered it, I had already added it to an LVM. That was a real mess.

I am not sure if the issue is specific to this card, the chip it uses, or just the kernel version in Ubuntu Linux.

Good Value, Does the Job

Pros: The card has been running just fine since I droped it in to an old P3 System I picked up for a files server. I have been running two 250gb drives off of the the SATA ports. I have not set it up for the RAID, but I am sure that works for thosse who want to set their drives up that way.

Cons: Would be nice if they sent two SATA cables. SATA cable works fine.

Other Thoughts: best card for the price. can get a cheaper raid w/o the usb ports, but it works great for thosse old computers with out USB2 and SATA
