1 out of 5 eggsWish I could give 0 eggs.

Pros: None.

Cons: Dead on Arrival. Even took it to my local computer hardware shop to test it. Confirmed to be dead. RMA'd it. Just bought a PSU elsewhere.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Good

Pros: Actually I'm unable to let you know anything about this product as it came in non-working condition.

Cons: Everything.! Product obviously has not been tested before delivery as i wont even accept power.

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the power supply to get an exchange on the PSU if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

4 out of 5 eggsStill Going Strong

Pros: I bought this in 2009 for my first ever build.

* Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.8GHz Dual-Core
* Corsair XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2-800
* ASRock P45XE LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
* APPHIRE 100265HDMI Radeon HD 4830 512MB 256-bit GDDR3

I've had 3 hard drives running on this at one time and a DVD burner. I've upgraded the video card to a EVGA GeForce 600Ti and I've added another couple 2Gb ram sticks. This thing just never had any problem with anything I've thrown at it. I've even done some overclocking with no impacts. The cords make since and I've never had any trouble with cord management. I like the ability to adjust the fan speed and the lights are nice.

Now that I'm looking for a new rig I'm hesitant to get a new one as 520W is plenty for my needs. I'm thinking that I can still use this for my next set of components.

Cons: For the first year I had it if I powered down I wasn't able to power back up without turning the switch off a bit. I have no idea how I fixed it but it works fine now. I have no idea if it was the motherboard or the power supply.

The fan at full speed is loud.

Other Thoughts: Even though I mentioned the loud fan as a con this didn't matter to me because the intel CPU fan and the 3 other case fans were loud too. It's just a very loud build. You get used to it.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is just an average power supply. Nothing great to report.

Cons: The thing refused to work initially. I had to jump it with a paper clip and then it did not give me any further problems.
The 8-pin connector was too short on my extended ATX-sized chasis. AI had to purchase an additional extension.
Worst is the noise of the fan. I have four other fans on this machine and they are barely audible, but the fan on this is very noisy.

Other Thoughts: If you want a run-of-the-mill power supply this should work. You get what you pay for.

1 out of 5 eggsLame

Pros: None

Cons: Doesn't even work for my motherboard. I searched ATX Power Supply 12v and this appeared with others. Sadly it doesn't even come with a 2nd 12v cable single. I cut the 20pin and 4pin apart from each other. And they don't even work. I don't understand how people can make such trash. Going to sell this piece of junk on craigslist

5 out of 5 eggsA Eulogy of Sorts..

Pros: Great-looking design. The UV cable sheathing and connectors are of high quality and make it easy to see what goes where. Enough oomph for almost any system that isn't completely power-crazy. Heavy-gauge anodized aluminum enclosure looks and feels nice. Three fans who's speed can be controlled manually. Blue LED illumination effect is less garish than you'd imagine. Best feature? IT LASTED FOR 8 YEARS!

Purchased from Newegg on 6/28/2005. That's long service for what I paid for it. And it died without taking anything else with it. You could do FAR worse than this power supply.

Cons: None, really. Maybe it's size-the case is quite long front to back. And the LED illumination dims as you adjust the fan speed downwards. Which is expected. LED fans with separate power leads for the LEDS are rather rare, and you see them in price-leader power supplies.

Other Thoughts: It kept my brother's machine going strong through two upgrades and eight years of daily use. I'm sorry to see it go. R.I.P.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: It looks cool

Cons: DOA. It lit the mobo LED but none of the fans or LEDs in the actual power supply worked.

Other Thoughts: If it hadn't been DOA it would be cool looking

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: It came in a box, which doubled as it's coffin.

Cons: Noisy. It died in less than a year. My friend bought the same power supply at about the same time, and his died about a month before mine did.

Other Thoughts: Bite the bullet, and buy the Corsair AX1200 like I did. it's a FAR superior product.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate...7 years later!

Pros: What can I say? This supply is still putting out after 7 years! The one customer I remain in contact with after all this time is still using it in the XP gaming rig it was originally installed in, playing Source Engine games, Unreal 3 Engine games...etc. He is a gaming fool and keeps this machine around for all his older games. The supply powers an AMD socket 754 A64 3400+ Venice & Radeon X1600 Pro... ahhh nostalgia!

Cons: Are ya kidding me? Cons? After 7 years?

Other Thoughts: It will be interesting to see how long this thing will hang on. Will update again if possible.
