5 out of 5 eggsMust buy

Pros: Silent, super stable, efficient.

Cons: None. The user reviews are important to me. I don't give high ratings lightly, but this product deserves it.

Other Thoughts: This PSU is amazing. It’s powering 4 Samsung SATA HDs, 2 DVD burners, 2 GeForce 7800 GTs in SLI, a floppy, 4 USB devices, 5 120 system fans, 1 X-Fi soundcard, an overclocked Opteron 165 dual core CPU on an ASUS A8N32 board, and a Swiftech liquid system which is connected to one of the 12v rails. I have owned this Seasonic for over a year. No matter how many components I add to my system, the PSU does not let me down. The best part is it runs silently. The fan exhaust is warm, and never hot. When you look inside, you see huge heatsinks (a mark of quality). All reviews of this unit (and other Seasonics) laud its efficiency. I can personally attest to this fact. I have never calculated the total wattage/amperage of my entire rig, but I suspect that that I’m over spec. However, this PSU doesn’t care. In fact, reviewers have found that this PSU never has problems running overspeced systems because its wattage is underrated. I am a Seasonic fan for life. Buy it

5 out of 5 eggsReliable and Stable

Pros: Solid construction, excellent performance, accurate and high quality electronics. The fan is truly quiet. Seasonic customer relations is great.

Cons: Cabling is a bit muddled, but Seasonic fixed with with the M12 modular. Although I have heard performance concerns over modular cabling in general. I have a large case with PSU cable storage, so I stuck with the S12.

Other Thoughts: Owned for almost 1 year.

It might not have flash or lights, but remember that your whole system depends on the power supply for accurate energy. A solid power supply can be the difference between a long lasting system and damaged components. Do your research!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Purchased this about six months ago. This is my third SeaSonic PSU. It's been running a 4400+, 7600GT, and five hard drives for 6 months, 24/7, without a hitch.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: -Be aware that for about the same price as this unit you can now get the M12-500 or the 550E+.

-Where my smaller SeaSonics run cold to the touch, this one runs warm, even hot. Not a con because I expect that from a more powerful unit.

-I chose this over the S12-600 because that unit had a higher reported failure rate here on Newegg. If I were buying now I'd choose the newer Energy+ version.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and steady

Pros: Quiet, effective, and unobtrusive... just like a power supply should be. It's currently powering a Conroe system with a Geforce 7900 and two hard drives with no problems whatsoever.

Cons: None
