5 out of 5 eggsGreat for a Custom Build

Pros: Aestethically, this thing is great, especially if you're doing a plexi case or just one with a window. The LEDs are decent quality, putting out respectable amounts of light, and there's a 120mm fan mounted to the bottom of the PSU in addition to the fan on the back. All of the cords are wrapped (and there are a LOT of cords) there's also a radial dial on the back for the fan speeds. Even at full blast though, this thing is not overly loud.

Cons: I've heard several people have problems with the connectors, so far I haven't had any. Maybe Vortec's changed the connectors, I can't say. But the cables can be a nuisance, because there are a LOT of them. In my NZXT Nemesis case, they're a little unruly. I can only imagine in a micro ATX case.

Other Thoughts: Pretty beefy PSU and looks snazzy, the cables are long and the wraps are good quality. It would be nice if you could disconnect excess cables.

5 out of 5 eggsgood purchase

Pros: -Easy to install
-Very organized cable setup
-Many long reaching cables
-Dual cooling fans
-Fan speed control
-Power supply is *nearly* silent when fans are off

Cons: -For me the screw holes did not line up, so i had to make due with only 1
-Although there are many cables, that can be bad, as you might have some cables just hanging out in your case
-Kind of expensive when i purchased it

Other Thoughts: The LED light is fairly bright, if you are into that its cool, but if not...you are stuck with the light...unless you are interested in swapping the fans out.

It comes with a 24 pin connecter, if your mobo is 20 pin, all you do is unhook the 4 pin section. there is another 4 pin that is seperate from the main cable.

Thank you newegg! on my doorstep in 2 days! Great service,as usual.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: -Looks extremely cool at night, with the window in the power supply.
-Cables are pretty darn long.
-Fan controller on it is awesome
-Quiet!

Cons: -The 4-pin connector for the motherboard was just two inches short of reaching my ASUS P5N32-SLi SE Deluxe in my SilverStone TJ-06 case (the mobo sits upside down). So it has good distance if you are not using a case like mine.
-Had to flip it upside down to get it to be a regular ATX power supply.

Other Thoughts: Don't push too hard on the peripheral connectors, the plastic on either side making it easy to take out, they are not really good quality. These are all minor issues that I have had so far but overall I love this power supply.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap SATA connectors (Broke)

Pros: The unit put out the power and fit nicely in my Cooler Master Case. Looked good and pumped the power.

Cons: Very cheap SATA connectors. Like soft clay. They broke open on each end. The company should recall and use a hard plastic connector. NewEgg was great with the RMA. Getting a different PS.

Other Thoughts: I just saw where others have reported this problem. Should have read all the reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm!

Pros: High power PSU for the money! It has good enough voltage to power just about anything 20-pin, and comes with a 20-24pin adapter so you can use it in newer systems. The amount of amps it pumps out is plenty for newer systems, and overkill for most older ones. The fan is nice because it has a speed control, so it can be set quiet and slow or loud and fast depending on how you like it.

Cons: It is a little too large for my case, but it is my fault for not making sure my case was the right size(it is slightly smaller then a normal ATX case)

Other Thoughts: The version I got is not the one in the picture with the red switch, its the one in the picture with the blue switch, not that switch color matters.

5 out of 5 eggsThe New Vortec PSVO-600

Pros: MGE has changed this PSU from the PSU that you see pictured in most reviews. The Chrome fanspeed knob is replaced with a black knob. The 20 to 24 pin adapter is replaced with sleeved cable. The on/off switch and AC bracket are black. If you liked the commonly pictured version, you'll LOVE this version. Arrived in 2 days! Go Newegg!

Cons: None so far.

3 out of 5 eggsArrived Dead

Pros: Have not used yet, so no pros

Cons: Arrived dead, a hassle to get in.
It would not fit right in case, but eventually got it in and the power and fan were accessible. It turned up to be dead, and I hope it turns out to be good once we get a new one.

Other Thoughts: Be smart, and try it out before putting it in, it takes a long time to get into case, make sure it works before you take the time to get it into your case.

5 out of 5 eggsNice for the money

Pros: Looks awesome! It's great to find a true 600W that can support your real SLI at 37A for less than $150. The fans, sleeving, and easy-grip molex's are just icing on the cake.

Cons: It's a little long to fit in the case, I have a tt armor and had to remove the top usb's and firewire and the attachment plate to get enough room to slide it in, but then it fits fine.

Other Thoughts: I'm not having any problems with my SATA connectors, it's obvious they're made of something different, but mine seem pretty solid.
