The reviews are right
- Pros: where to start? temp monitor, cheap, stable rails, PFC, entirely modular, EMI shielded PCIE power and molex, all cables fully sheathed, PLENTY OF CABLES.
- Cons: the cables are a bit stiff, but they soften up quickly, the Specifications sticker is on wrong side for a windowed case
the little 3.5 inch LCD monitor that lets you observe the PSU's temp is kinda gimmicky. all it does is tel the temperature and let you adjust the fan speed.
i use it BC i like the blue light it gives off, but it dosen't do any good! at least expand the functionality and let me know what the rails are at, or how many watts i'm using... or something other than temperature!
- Other Thoughts: i bought this to replace a Ultra X connect PSU that died on my one day. im glad i did. i got a better modular PSU, for less and its got more features (monitor thingy and EMI shielded cables)
i have to admit, i was a bit concerned about the other reviews saying that the 80 mm fan would break and begin to make a lot of noise, but i haven't heard anything yet (owned for a little over one month)
also, other reviews state that the PSU suddenly dies, but i have seen any symptoms of this (yet...) and most of the reviews i've read online say its stable and reliable.

Sunbeam NUUO SUNNU550
- Pros: Sunbeam has created a very solid power supply with the creation of their NUUO series. This includes both the 550-watt and 450-watt models (of which I own one of each). The modular design is well thought out, the included value add items such as the fan control (which CAN be used independent of the PSU, a number of people here simply are confused on this), and a very sleek and attractive design. It has now served in my benchmarking rig for over three months powering a number of motherboard, processors, and graphics cards and has not once failed or shown a sign of weakness. From stock to extreme overclocks. A great product, highly recommended.
- Cons: Cables are slightly rigid. Still able to very cleanly lay out my system (no cables visible) but this is just a minor issue and even then only slows you down from a clean system and not limit you.
Simply Awesome.
- Pros: Awesome mirror finish, puts out plenty of power. Kick A*# price, and was at my house in 3 days...
- Cons: Put this into a Custom Q-pack case was a charm. The middle bracket hits the bottom of the fan, thus making a Ton of noise when cover is put on tight. I fixed this by getting a little piece of metal, and shoving it under the back of the PSU. To keep the fan guard from flexing and hitting the fan.
- Other Thoughts: I will probably be buying another one.
