5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CPU!

Pros: Using this CPU on a rebuild system utilizing an ASUS M2A-VM mobo and an Arctic Cooling "64" heatsink/fan assembly. Have it OC'd @ 2.35 ghz with no problems-still running very stable. Have been using AMD for a couple of years now, and am happy with them. Newegg.com is AWESOME!

Cons: NONE!

5 out of 5 eggsI AM VERY IMPRESSED!!!

Pros: I just recently made my first 2 comps from scratch. One a mild gaming comp with a e2180 intel chip in it. The other a browse the internet comp with this chip in it. I made the e2180 about a month earlier. So i was use to the speeds of everything as far as loading times. To make a long story short i fired up the athlon comp and started seeing what it had. Not expecting much i was blown away by its speed. So i pitted the 2 comps against each other. The athlon machine is loading windows faster, loading up my games faster and hitting the net faster then the intel chip. And the athlon chip even has cheaper components surrounding it.
I dont know if i just got a really good chip or if the set up is better for it then my intel chip setup. Ethier way im really impressed. For the price being so much less then the intel chip ill be looking for this bad boy again.

Cons: Umm its ungodly cheap and it flys plus you get a fan and heat sink with it.
I guess my only con is i made the computer with this chip in it for someone else and now i dont want to give it up.

Other Thoughts: Using supposedly outdated or just plain old parts im wondering if making fully loaded towers will become cheaper then buying the newest console gaming systems out there. With this chip i was able to come real close.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Budget CPU

Pros: Cheap. As in, cheaper than renting a few movies at Blockbuster.

Cons: Unless you're using this CPU for a light business class machine, or you're 70, pony up another $25 and get a dual core.

Other Thoughts: I dropped this into a budget gaming rig. It performed quite admirably, but I ended up getting a 5000+ dual core for an extra $20 and noticed extreme improvements in system performance. Just know what this CPU is good for (business apps), and what it isn't good for (newer games).

5 out of 5 eggsBest Deal on Single-Core CPU

Pros: Cheap! Like, friggin' cheap! I almost bought an Intel Celeron for a cheap PC before I found this. It's powerful (3200+) and even supports hardware virtualization. The CPU and heatsink install like butter (easy to line-up heatsink connectors with zero force).

Cons: It's single-core. Only 512KB L2 cache. Know what you're getting before you buy it.

Other Thoughts: If all you want/need is a single-core CPU, get these AMD chips before they sell out! If you're building a cheap PC for Mom or whomever, this is what to put in it. It's more powerful than she'll ever need, and cheaper than a Celeron.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cheap processor.

Pros: Price price price!

Great performance if your just looking for a work station, can use 64 bit (though most processors can now.)

Cons: None really. Slow for gaming systems (but what would you expect for $23?)

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is a HORSE

Pros: This thing was top of the line when I bought it. I Bought the socket 754 version, and then 2 weeks later they released the 939 version. This thing has been running strong 24/7 since the fall of '04.

Cons: Not Dual Core :-\, but pretty much top of the line for single core

Other Thoughts: Newegg is great, fast, cheap shipping. I miss the days of all free shipping tho :-(

5 out of 5 eggsFast stable CPU

Pros: Performance is still good for a year old $50 cpu under Windows XP with just 512mb ram. Easy OC to 2.2 ghz (stable) with just the stock heatsink.

Cons: HaHa what cons?

Other Thoughts: I built this system for someone else and they love it. BIOSTAR NF520-A2 Socket AM2, 512mb ram, 120 gb HDD, FSP 300W PSU. Runs perfect

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome!

Pros: Great little processor, this one came in a Dell computer; I had some problems with it so I put it into an MSI K9VGM-V and I could not be happier. Bundled with a Masscool CPU cooler, and 1GB of ram, this out performs my P4 3.2. I don’t over clock so I can’t vouch for that but bundled with a new MSI Mbox barebones system this thing rocks. It’s now my main computer.

Cons: It’s not a dual core…
It outperforms my P4...

Other Thoughts: For my server I went with a Celeron D 331, man oh man, I should have went with this thing for the price. It’s much better. My computer is currently a K9VGM-V MSI mobo, Antec Neo 550w PS, 2 WD 160 GB SATA drives, Sony DVD-ROM, Samsung DVD-RW, Evga 7600 GTS PCI-X 16x, Masscool CPU cooler, 36GB WD Raptor (older), and a Silicon Image PCI SATA raid card. I also put this in a Praetorian Case. Runs fantastic!
