5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Low price, high quality.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is my third budget system I have built with this same processor. They are fast, reliable and cheap. Personally I don't like processors over 2ghz because you run to overheating problems that shortens CPU's life. Combine this processor with a good heat-sink/fan, two or more gigs of ram and a higher end GPU and I dare say that you will have a system that last a long time and will adequately do just about anything you want. Sure you can spend a lot more, but why when you can do the same thing for less?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Gaming Proc.

Pros: Great processor. Good OCing.. Just went to 2.4(my mem topped out about there). This thing runs Crysis on Very High with my 8800gt 256mb and 4gb or ram.

Cons: Nada

Other Thoughts: Newegg is awesome too!

5 out of 5 eggscpu roX ! ! !

Pros: Cheap dual-core! I've bought 5 of these.
They are lovely and quick.
If they are available buy a couple.

Cons: Newegg is out of stock right now. :-(

Other Thoughts: AMD roX ! ! ! ( . . . except their Sempron chips, but guess every company has their Celeron - Cheap Junk )

5 out of 5 eggsPERFECT!

Pros: Wow! This processor is super fast and has never let me down! I've built two computers (with windows xp and 1 gb of ram) using this processor and both run perfectly (never lags even with multiple applications running, temp never passes 30). And at $40, it's a definite steal!

Cons: None!

5 out of 5 eggsNice Processor

Pros: Nice fast processor. Purchased for use in office computer with XP installed, with 2 gig of ram. XP operates as fast as I have seen it with this processor and the 2 gig of ram. Dual cores rock. Basically gives you near server processing capability in a workgroup computer.

Cons: Does run hot like most processors of this generation. Requires huge (to me) heat sink and fan.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this along with the ECS Geforce6100PM-M2 AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. No problems noted to date. Good motherboard and processor combination.

5 out of 5 eggsAthlon XP X2 3800+

Pros: Fantastic bargain for the amount of performance you receive. This particular processor has tremendous over clocking potential as well.

Cons: Its not a Phenom.

Other Thoughts: But when you bump it up to 2.6ghz for gaming, you might as well have a Phenom because your framerates will be about the same.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome cpu(89w)

Pros: great processor, i've pwned it for a year with stock cooling & thermal paste oc'd @ 2.25 on an asus m2ne-sli mobo w/1gig corsair xms2 800. temps never go over 47 under heavy load(Folding@home & Call of Duty 4)and i pwn the 89w version. i'd buy another one if this one died, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. :) GJ AMD and newegg for the early delivery.

Cons: there was one that escaped from prison the other night where i live. :|

Other Thoughts: my overclocking wasn't stable past 2.3ghz. not sure why but i'm thinking it's my ram. i've read some reviews and my xms2 doesn't c very well...but it did push frequencies past 944mhz with timings @ 5-5-5-15.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat processor

Pros: Very cost effective in price vs: speed.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Went from a celeron d (ok, stop laughing) with 512MB RAM. To this chip and 4GB dual channel memory. OS loads in ~1/2 the time. Distributed.net used to take 2-3 days to process a block. First block on this machine (Biostar A770) took 18 hrs. 24 units/block and now running 2 blocks (1 per core) in this timeframe.

5 out of 5 eggsA great bang for the buck.

Pros: An excellent value and decent overclocker -- for an AMD chip. I have mine at 2.72Ghz (1.42V). Has passed 12 hour Prime 95 torture test.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Mine is not fully stable past 2.8Ghz, no matter how much juice you give it. I tried up to 1.5V, but really was not comfortable going past 1.45V. Some of these chips reportedly can overclock to 3.0Ghz, but that depends on your luck.
