5 out of 5 eggsgreat processor

Pros: great processor for the price. i bought it when it was right behind the Extreme Edition E6800, and it performed exceptionaly. runs lot cooler than my old P4.

Cons: None that i can think of.. make sure you go into bios and make sure it runs at 2.66, the motherboard sets it to 2.133 default but increase the multipliers to 12x i believe and you will be running 2.66.

Other Thoughts: i should of waited longer to get the E6850 or E8400.

5 out of 5 eggsunbelieveable

Pros: OC'ing ability. Super fast, fairly priced for what you can get out of her.

Cons: Are you serious? OK, here is a con, it won't do me a beer run.

Other Thoughts: I haven't built a computer in 4 yrs or so and that was when AMD had the edge, well the worm has turned. This is amazing and I am looking forward to putting this beauty to the test. SO much for me being die hard AMD. Only thing I can recommend is might as well go OEM and spend a small amount on a F&HS, will not spend any more for both and you wont have to worry about heat, she runs fairly cool on stock speeds anyway. I will be soon overclocking I am sure. ASROCK Quad Core, SilentStorm case from Sunbeam (check it out...sweet 3 120mm fans), XFX 5200 Asylum 256MB(only thing holding me back), 2gig DDRII 667 ram, 250G WD Caviar HD. Couldn't be happier

5 out of 5 eggsWOW! JUST WOW!

Pros: Fast...SO FAST! Multi-tasking marvel, with great stability. I'll put it in its new board as soon as Egg gets it to me. It almost seems silly for a non-gamer like me to even consider overclocking, but...

Cons: It seems to consistently be out of stock at The Egg. It seems that Intel is keeping tight reins on it, eh?

Other Thoughts: I feel kind of guilty posting this, but the constant out of stock status isn't the only reason I didn't by at New Egg. I have been a loyal customer for a long time...and plan on staying that way...BUT I got a sealed, boxed CPU with heatsink and fan for fully $70 less than I could here. (No, it would not be ethical for me to say, or even allude to, who that merchant might be. Loyalty goes a long way, but were talking a HUGE savings here. Anyway, I bought several hundred buckaroonies at the Egg to make up for it.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: This was one of the fewparts of my new build that didn't give me problems! Runs fast and cool.

Cons: Price a bit high.

Other Thoughts: I had planned on buying the 6600, but Newegg was out of stock when I was ready to buy, so I popped for the upgrade. No regrets. I haven't done much with overclocking yet, but this is as stable as it gets in my Asus P5B Deluxe and Corsair Dominator 8500C5D's.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent cpu

Pros: Low heat emissions, max rec voltage is 1.5 (leaving plenty of room for oc), works well at stock speeds

Cons: stock heatsink + fan = garbage + garbage. Went with the beastly zalman 9700

Other Thoughts: should have gotten wolfdale 3.0...rig consists of e6700 @ 3.15, max temp 42 C, avg temp at 36 C, all air, 4 gb ocz ddr2, asus striker extreme, lg blu-ray/HD-DVD combo drive, 7-in-1 card-reader, dual sli 7950gt ...all in an antec p190 (incroyable) case.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat cpu

Pros: fast cpu, easy to overclock, temps are in the low 30s.

Cons: none at the moment

Other Thoughts: I have this on an asus p5dl2-vm, so it might be limiting its potential.

5 out of 5 eggsBest CPU I have ever owned...

Pros: This processor is a little pricey, but it has a much higher overclocking potential than the E6600 or E6400 models. I am completely satisfied with this product and recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable Dual Core CPU.

Cons: I cannot think of any at all.

Other Thoughts: Just a really great product.
