5 out of 5 eggsAwesome, fast, and HOT

Pros: huge bang for the buck

Cons: like a lot of multi-core processors it runs really hot, buy a good aftermarket heatsink/fan for this one. It burned out my last mobo so I bought a new one and a Zalman CNPS9500 Heatsink/fan, no problems since.

Other Thoughts: BUY A GOOD AFTERMARKET HEATSINK/FAN FOR THIS ONE

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!!! Great CPU

Pros: Great Fast Performance, It runs in my system very cool 29c while Folding@Home, Myst URU live, Outlook 2007 Ultimate, Norton, and AutoCad all running along with all of the background stuff!!! it is the lowest score I have on the WEI..Windows Experience Index in Vista...It rates a 5.0

Cons: I am running out of things to throw at it!!! hehe

Other Thoughts: Intel 945gcl MOBO, Vista Home premium, this processor(WEI-5.0), Nvidia 8500GT 256(WEI-5.0),(256 dedicated+1279 shared=1535 total video memory, WEI-5.3), 3gigs Kingston ValueRam DDR2 PC2 5300(WEI-5.9), 2x250GB Western digital Sata 3.0-181GB total free space(WEI-5.3)----100% Newegg purchased computer!!!! great system ty Newegg!!!

5 out of 5 eggsRuns Cool

Pros: This is a sweet proc. I read several complaints about the proc running hot. I would guess that a better CPU fan and/or better airflow through the case would solve the problem. Mine runs at about 30-35c even over-clocked to 3.28GHz. I am not one to over-clock but I wanted to see what would happen. After an hour the cpu fan was running at 1225 rpm and the cpu was a 31c, the case fan was running about 2250 and the sys temp was 29c.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: CPUs need plenty of cooling. That has been the case since the first Pentiums came out. I have been doing this since the 386. Poor cooling is the only reason a CPU overheats. As with any proc, have plenty of airflow and cooling and your CPU will be cool as a cucumber. :-)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It is fast. Price is right

Cons: HOT HOT - plan on a side case fan, rear case fan, and a very good cpu fan. Runs at 58C under normal usage(with no side fan) I could only over clock it to 3.2

5 out of 5 eggsblazing

Pros: Amazing value, at this point in time there is still no need for dual core computing. This is a blazing fast processor that runs pretty cool. Mine stays around 30 C most of the time

Cons: Occasionally the fan has trouble revving up, and takes a few attempts to do so, but always succeeds in two or three tries.

Other Thoughts: Amazing value! Couldn't ask for anything more.

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely happy

Pros: I have not experienced the higher temperatures that others have current temp range from 29c 39c and that is overclocked @ 3400 mhz over 1 year absolutely flawless performance multitasking is a breeze highly recommended especially at this price

Cons: Currently none with the amount of performance versus price I won't be upgrading for at least 16 months

Other Thoughts: front side bus 907 xms2 ram 667 4-4-4-12 ecs c19-a motherboard 7600gt gfx card aftermarket cooling 380w power supply raidmax

4 out of 5 eggsThis thing SMOKES!

Pros: FAST CPU, fast like WHOA kind of fast. 4 Megs of cache, that's a nice feature that affected my decision immensely, all the AMD processors around this price range and speed had like...512 or 1000 KB. Not enough for my tastes. The price is also a big plus, I was initially gonna get the 940, but I figured for 20-30 bucks cheaper I'd only lose 200Mhz on the 930; so far I've not regretted it. At this price this CPU is a fantastic buy.

Cons: HOT! Yes, it's blazing fast, but it idles at 50C (according to SpeedFan) and runs Halo at 70C. If this is the actual core temp of the CPU then it's not bad, but it it's a remote temp then I think it should be a lot cooler. I'm gonna try some Arctic Silver 5 and see what happens.

Other Thoughts: All around good processor. I highly reccomend it for anything but the most extreme applications. Newegg had it to my house within 36 hours of the time I ordered it. (!!!)

3 out of 5 eggsHOT IDEM no really it gets hot

Pros: this would be your budget duel core
this thing will do anything i have thrown at it

Cons: this thing idles too hot it will idle with nothing but vista on and not even the sidebar or internet at about 47c (on xp under same standards about 46c) on loads it will go up to 64c so stock cooling is not advised :)

Other Thoughts: this thing will work fine for what ever but just get a new heaksink and you will have a long lasting processor that will last a long time
