Avoid at all costs

Pros: 4 gig is alot of memory

Cons: I purchased this ram with my Conroe 6400, 8800 GTS and my Asus P5B Deluxe. Orthos stability tests failed at STOCK speeds. If I oc'd to 2800 @ 1.25 volts I could get stable with loosest timings possible (5-5-5-15). Failed memtest at stock and at 2.8

Other Thoughts: By ONLY replacing the RAM (G.xxxll HZ 2x1gb kit) I got a bootable OC of 3.6 (from a max boot of 3.0 with the Geil installed) and a 24/7 OC of 3.2 (from stock 2.13) with timings: 800 mhz 4-4-4-5-4 at 2.0 volts. Somethng the GEIL could never touch.

Works on Asus P5N32-E SLI MB

Pros: This memory works fine with the Asus P5N32-E SLI motherboard and Windows Vista 64-bit. With 2x2GB chips instead of 4x1GB chips, I have the opportunity to upgrade to 8GB in the future (only on 64-bit platforms).

Cons: System won't boot unless the memory voltage is increased from the default setting. I found 2.000V to be stable. Also, this memory doesn't overclock much at all. If you want higher speeds, go with 4x1GB memory.

Other Thoughts: I had to set the voltage to 2.000V to get the memory to run stable (ran MemTest86+ for 24 hours) at the stock timings. Increasing the voltage to 2.100V did not allow higher speeds. I was able to get this memory to run at 4-4-4-12-2T timings at 831.2 MHz or 4-4-4-12-1T timings at 680 MHz. Loosing the timings only allowed me to increase the speed by about 10 MHz in both cases.
Windows Vista 64-bit has a BSoD bug with 4GB of memory on some motherboards (including mine). You must install one mem chip, install Vista, install the Vista hotfix for KB29777, and then you may install the second mem chip.
