5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Used this for my father's budget business build and it works great. I used it with an ASUS P7P55D-E LX motherboard because it's on the compatibility list. Sure enough it worked without a hitch. Nice heat spreaders, looks very sleek and futuristic. Superb RAM.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: None.

4 out of 5 eggsEverything as expected

Pros: Great ram, you get exactly what it says. So far no issues whatsoever, computer is running rather smoothly. Heat sinks are beautiful.

Cons: The fancy design/heat sinks make the ram a little difficult to install. The procedure is all the same, but pushing down hard on the top design kind of hurts. Honestly, my only complaint.

Other Thoughts: Yes, sometimes you get a bad stick of ram. It is not neweggs fault and it really isn't the manufacturers fault either. Not worth rating down the product.
(Personally, both my sticks were fine, just putting this out there)

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Ran games well for a short period of time. Looks great. Heat sinks are nice.

Cons: I stick of ram was defective straight out of the package. Caused blue error screen and multiple computer crashes. Ran computer slow even with a brand new gigabyte mobo and amd phenom II 3.7 Ghz processor. I would never buy this ram again.

Other Thoughts: Looks cool. Voltage was wrong.

1 out of 5 eggsHad problems before but this is...

Pros: Nothing good has come from this RAM, except the original stick I received. The fact that Corsair really sucks at keeping things straight is the biggest annoyance.
For example these RAM can have different Voltages as expressed on the decals on the RAM, though Corsair sells them as the same. This doesn't matter if you get 4 sticks of similar RAM and in the past 2 orders I have.

Worked for 3 whole days!

NewEgg does their best for support, but I am never buying this RAM again by Corsair!

Cons: Installed into machine after receiving product closer to 1.5 weeks rather than the 3 day shipping I've only actually received once from NewEgg.

Now overheats, exactly on the 31st day later.
Ughhh.

RAM tested fine, and the fact that problems presented themselves with a previous stick, I could toss a coin and blame either Corsair or me, leaning towards Corsair!

Especially considering maybe they messed up my Memory controller from their Voltage mix-up from my purchase prior to this.

And I'm supposed to pay shipping and handling to give it to Corsair now? NEVERMIND That! More money from me just to get it to work?!?

Other Thoughts: Will of course buy from NewEgg again, but I'd love if their policy was extended by the time alotted for shipping. Not so that I'm in a rush trouble-shooting my PC on weekends for only 2 limited weekends before an RMA expires. (2nd Time!)
I wouldn't have had to buy these sticks (throwing another $60 down the drain) to begin with because my previous purchase would have been replaced with working parts too! (w/ the warranty extended by shipping!)

Corsair, on the other hand will not receive any more money from me. Been devoted because of lack of problems prior but this RAM has been the biggest waste of time and money I've had any part be.

All I have been wanting is to max out my main-board with compatible RAM. Apparently Corsair makes this difficult and so I may just be returning to Kingston.

We as the consumers need to be more vigilant when companies rip us off! Our tax dollars go more towards them then us, and we get shoddy product in return!?!

4 out of 5 eggs2 Years ago 1.5v now 1.6v

Pros: Corsair Quality... decent price, dependable... all that jazz

Cons: Not the same specs over time...

Other Thoughts: @Run4ItMarty

I had an original 4g/1.5v kit in my evga 790i For The W in (EffTeeDub is a bad word?) and wanted to max this out recently... clicked on my old invoice, clicked the product and added it to my cart with out even checking... order comes in, drop the 2 new sticks into the rig, boots... then odd behavior followed by a blue screen... thinking, dang, bad ram... yank and that's when I noticed the specs on this "exact same" part number are no longer the same, the new ram is 1.6v and apparently doesn't play nice... will see if I can find a compromise by over volting the original set... just a warning.

3 out of 5 eggsFulfilled my 8GB, now crashing

Pros: I have had 2 of these sticks that although I had to manually sync them to my FSB at the suggested 1333 MHz, they've been working since. And that was 2 years ago this September.
Bought 2 more to max my mainboard out in late November, and problems have since arisen.

Cons: This RAM totally works when you get quality product. I've waited too long to do an RMA as problems didn't start til maybe about 1 week into mild use. At least 1 stick is bad, and even underclocking at 10-10-10-26 doesn't seem to help as recently as 2 weeks ago my BIOS has had to reassign memory rates at almost every start up. I'm probably not going to buy from Corsair again.

Other Thoughts: There is clearly a manufacturing defect in these. Corsair claims that they pair up the two for optimum performance. This does not explain why at least one of the sticks is bringing my computer boots to a restart for the past 2 weeks.

2 out of 5 eggsMemory good when it works. RMA process is horrible!

Pros: The memory is awesome if it works. It feels solid and clocks to intended speed of 1333 easily.

Cons: Corsair's RMA process is terrible! Through simple troubleshooting, I determined one of my sticks was bad. The process started simple enough. I went to Corsair's website and set up an RMA. This was where the positive experience ended. I had to PAY to send THEIR faulty memory back to them, and of course, since my brand new system would be down without the memory, I paid for two day shipping to move the process along. Corsair then informed me I can expect a 3-5 day shipping return. Of course, this is after they process the RMA.

They kept me informed through automated emails of the progress of my RMA. The good communication would have alleviated some of my animosity towards the whole situation had the email not been to inform me they had received my part, but were backed up and I could expect an additional delay of a week in processing my RMA!

Other Thoughts: Bottom line: The memory is awesome when it works, but be prepared to spend your own money and wait a minimum of three weeks if you have to send faulty memory back to Corsair.
