Pros: It is fast memory

Cons: I am now on my 4th stick that has went bad. not all in the same slot.

Other Thoughts: I have 2x512, and I have lost one or the other stick 4 times now. No over clocking, correct steady voltage.

5 out of 5 eggsRam worked great!

Pros: Worked with out a problem on the first boot, I ran Memtest on it and it worked perfect.
Great price!

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: I have no idea why others where having so many problems with this ram. I just added another gig to my identical current gig of ram. I have been running the first gig for about 2 years, and the new gig has worked perfect. Ignore what everyone else has said about this ram!

4 out of 5 eggs3 Years until failure

Pros: Had this memory for 3 years until one of my 512MB sticks died last week. Crucial has a new stick coming to me. Lifetime warranty.

Cons: Have to go through 1-2 weeks with only 512MB until my new stick arrives and I'm back at 1GB.

1 out of 5 eggsMemory Fails!!

Pros: Works great until it burns out

Cons: They run to hot and will fail!

Other Thoughts: I bought two sticks for a dual-channel setup and spent forever trying to track down my computer crashing issues until I ran Microsoft memory test and found out one of the sticks was bad. Simply do not buy this memory

5 out of 5 eggsi don't get it!

Pros: Excellent unfailing memory that i know of even after trying to over voltage the thing its very forgiving. Never had a problem i don't see why others have ; maybe its overkill during clocking or lack of ventilation??? cool as ever for me.

Cons: none what so ever , maybe not so overclock freindly.

Other Thoughts: Maybe the other companies hire people to ruin other products well in this age of republicans i have become sceptikal about everything except what works for me. Thanks New Egg and Crucial for restoring faith in some things. :) Sorry i digress from the rules of review.

1 out of 5 eggsBEWARE!! MASSIVE FAILURE RATE!!

Pros: None that I can think of. I am the senior tech at an OEM system builder and we have gone through 2 years of hell with the massive failure rate that DDR Ballistix modules are becoming know for!

Cons: Normally Crucial makes a very good modules. But they messed up BIG TIME with the DDR400 Ballistix modules! These things burn out left and right! The problem is they just run too darn hot, even if you under clock/timing/volt them. Just read the reviews here, even people that (for what ever reason) gave more positive feedback have still commented on having failures and the need to RMA modules.

Other Thoughts: Do your self a favor and get C0rs41r or 0CZ modules. At this point we have stopped purchasing memory from crucial. The most insulting aspect of this whole thing is that they STILL will not admit to us that this massive failure rate is due to a product defect in the DDR400 Ballistix series. They say we are the ONLY OEM having this problem! Yet a quick Google search for things like "Ballistix module failure" turns up many forums with LOTS of people complaining about multiple RMAs on module pairs!!! Blaming us for their poor product design is just adding insult to injury...
