Not truly CL4-4-4-12 @ 400MHz stock

Pros: Memory is solid performer.

Cons: I bought this from Newegg.com on 11/16/2006. I noticed that the Product is labeled on Newegg.com and on the product package as F2-6400PHU2-1GBHZ DDRII800 PC2-6400 512 x 2 CL4-4-4-12 2.0~2.1V

However in CPU-Z 1.42 SPD tab reports the SPD of each of these chips as showing CL5-5-5-15 @ 400MHz @ 1.8V & CL4-4-4-10 @ 266MHz @ 1.8V. It appears that these modules are not advertised correctly. However they will OC to CL4-4-4-12 @ 400MHz @ 2.0~2.1V which IS OCing.

I bought from Newegg.com the product F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ DDRII-800 PC-6400 1024 x 2 CL4-4-4-12 2.0-2.1V and these are correctly reported in CPU-Z 1.42, however system (GA-965P-S3) will not boot with these modules @ 2.1V
I had to boost memory voltage to 2.4V to get them to boot and run stable.

This could be a motherboard issue as far as the voltage and booting. But clearly the pair of 512MB modules I purchased were not advertised correctly as they are NOT truely CL4-4-4-12 @ 400MHz but will OC to that speed with added voltage

Other Thoughts: A lot has changed since I bought the F2-6400PHU2-1GBHZ product.

I purchased them on Newegg for $164.99 a little over a year ago, and now the same product is currently priced @ $64.99

LOL, $100 difference. Wow! I guess there is no keeping up with technology =(

I would think it would be helpful to average consumer to know that the product needs to be Overclocked to run @ advertised speed as per module SPD.

Pros: Great overclocking RAM. I also have this RAM in two 2x1Gb sets. It ALL will do 1000mhz at 4-4-4-12 2.25v.

Cons: None. Okay, it's not free.

Other Thoughts: I am blown away at the results....I was happy with 1000 at 5-5-5-18 but for it to do 4-4-4-12 at a little more voltage is incredible. I have had my 2x1Gb kits over 1160mhz, but at cas5. Still GREAT RAM

Pros: It works well with my ASUS P2B Delux.

Cons: Well, I didn't find any.

Other Thoughts: This is more of a motherboard issue: Only after I updated my BIOS, the motherboard started to auto-recognize the correct RAM speed.
