Pros: 4 of them set up in RAID 10 on AW9D-MAX motherboard. No waiting for anything and quiet.

Great Drive

Pros: Very fast! I have two SATA 2 drives running in RAID zero, and this drive by itself running in a SATA 1 mode (with jumper) seems to be faster. I replaced my wife's failing Maxtor drive with this, and her system is much faster. This is simply an excellent product.

Cons: The drive came with no SATA 1 jumper. This jumper enables SATA 1 support (jumper the two pins farthest way from the SATA cable connector. If you connect this to a SATA 1 controller without the jumper, your BIOS will not see the drive. A standard motherboard jumper will not fit - it's a much smaller jumper. DO NOT RMA THIS DRIVE, CALL SEAGATE AND THEY WILL SEND YOU A JUMPER.

Other Thoughts: It runs very hot although it's very silent. Make sure to mount it with a fan. This time UPS delivered on time. It comes with a 5 year warranty, and I'm very impressed with the performace.

Pros: Pretty durn quiet. In 15+ years of my computing life, I've yet to have a problem with Seagate drives.

Incredible 63 cents/GB. Where ya gonna beat that??

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these puppies.
