Other Thoughts: I wish newegg had black in stock when I needed it.
Oh and that stupid light stays on if there's a disc in drive.

I needed a drive to read DVD-RAM discs

Pros: This drive actually reads DVD-RAM discs! Yipee. I bought a DVD camcorder and it uses DVD-RAM discs. None of my other drives could read DVD-RAM. I also already have a DVD-Burner, so I did not need writing capabilities. This disc had what I needed at a very inexpensive price.

Cons: Like other's have commented, the light on the drive stays on while there is a disc in the drive. Not a big deal, however.

Other Thoughts: Some other people may have mentioned something about not knowing how to set the jumpers. My drive had it stamped near the jumpers, so no problem.

Hats off to Newegg. They say that this drive reads DVD-RAM and it does. I could not find anywhere else that let me know this, including ASUS' website and ASUS' technical support team. Go Newegg.
