Pros: this is excellent. CHEAP and works fantastic(ally). I use external USB2 case and it works fine

Cons: not that i can think of

Other Thoughts: sometimes Nero 6.0 doesnt recognize the 16X speed... but when I use speed test, it shows up to the correct speed. go figures.

Smooth, fast and inexpensive

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Installed easy. Have burned both data DVDs and Video DVDs. Does the job on both. Very quiet performance. I would recomend to anybody.

Cons: No cons so far.

Other Thoughts: NOTICE - Comes with Nero software. You will need to buy an upgrade from Nero ($xx) to burn DVD Video unless you already have Nero 6 Ultra.

Pros: Great Bang for the Buck
Burns well

Cons: Issue with some memorex CDRs
May try to flash upgrade
Playback of DVD movies choppy, make sure you have another ROM drive for playback

Other Thoughts: I have bought 4 of these drives, no major issues, If you are looking for a decent drive and want to save some cash I would recommend it
