This Philips 20X SATA DVD burner writes 4.7GB of data in about five and a half minutes to DVD±R, and supports all DVD formats. A 2 MB cache, buffer under-run protection and dynamic write speed calibration ensure you get accurate, working copies every time, instead of wasting disc blanks. Pros: Looks great, is very fast, SATA interface.

Cons: A little loud, but I never expect CD/DVD drives to be "quiet" so it doesn't bother me, and it's only loud when it's going at full speed.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great drive, I got it because of the 20X speed and it looks great with my case. A good buy.
As another reviewer said, it did not come with the SATA cable. I had plenty of extra so it wasn't a problem for me.

Pros: works fine so far

Cons: no sata cables nero seven is oem version you need to buy it for full version it is a 30 day trial

Pros: none

Cons: Slow speeds, loud, doesn't read disks all that well. This thing died on me after using it for 6 months. Won't read a thing. The button also isn't exactly "pushable".

Other Thoughts: Skip this one and buy something else, you'll be disappointed if you don't

Pros: Great drive, no problems with the hardware

Cons: Nero software is only a 30 day trial. I had to purchase the full version. Also, it's a very loud drive when it's spinning at full RPM's.

Pros: Good price, good drive. Does everything it's supposed to and is still working great.

Cons: It's quite loud when spinning at full RPM's. I was able to quiet it down with Nero's RPM options though. Unfortunately, the Nero program that it came with is only a 30 day trial version.

Other Thoughts: I would have given it a full 5 stars if the Nero had been a full version. The loudness is easy enough to take care of.
