The Netgear GS108 Gigabit Ethernet switch offers faster access to more terminals on your network. The GS108 offers plug-and-play operation with Windows and Mac operating systems. Connect your server to the switch to increase performance across the network, or cascade Gigabit switches for a high-bandwidth backbone. With support for 4K MAC address entries, you'll find support for any device you need to connect!
The GS108 utilizes Store-and-Forward switching, which verifies the integrity of data before forwarding it across the network, so you don't waste bandwidth on junk transmissions. The Netgear GS108 is a simple and economical path to Gigabit connectivity!

So far so good?
- Pros: Compact, fast, priced right.
- Cons: None so far.
- Other Thoughts: It seems the V2 models weren't very good, which isn't surprising because Netgear has always been hit-or-miss. I refuse to buy their routers anymore, but so far Netgear switches haven't let me down and the V3 seems to have solved a lot of the old issues. Haven't owned this one very long though, purchased for a client's small business about 2 months ago.
Do Not Buy
- Pros: Great while it works!
- Cons: This thing is a pain, very poor reliability I made the mistake of buying two of these, both went bad within in a year. Doing the RMA thing every few months is no fun. Netgear will try to figure out a way to charge you the cost for another unit. I won't buy Netgear again!
Support was super helpful!
- Pros: Heavy duty case (feels like quality)
8 Ports Industrial ground on the rear of unit Support is very helpful and swapped out unit
- Cons: Failed after 2 years
Had to pay for shipping for replacement
- Other Thoughts: This switch is used in an industrial facility that hammers the switch 24/7/365. I got over 2 years out of it for relatively little $$$. It does what it needs to do for a switch. Support was super helpful and can be done online.
