5 out of 5 eggsPerfect blend of silence and performance

Comments: I installed this to replace my stock AMD heatsink for an XP 2500 and it is so quiet that I cannot hear it. It also lowered my temps by 11C under load (56C to 45C) but idling it only lowered it by 4 degrees (39C to 35C). I highly recommend this product if you want silence. However, if you're into overclocking then you might want something else. I don't overclock and to me this offers the perfect blend of silence and cooling.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: I'm running a non-OC'd Athlon Barton 3200+, and swapped out the stock fan for this guy. Quieted the PC down quite a bit, for not a lot of money.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Comments: It says that it is silent and that is the truth. It is quiet. But didn't see a lot of improvement over my stock heatsink/fan. Maybe 3 or 4 C. But then again maybe i suck at putting the right amount of compound on.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: This is a good heatsink w/fan. On my motherboard with nvidia the fins on this is horizontal. So not only does the fan on it blow the heat off but the 120mm I have behind it pulls it off as well:) I went over alot of them before purchasing the best one (this one)

5 out of 5 eggslast reviewer is an idiot

Comments: last review shouldn't even be listed. It CLEARLY states compatibility with AthlonXP - NOT Athlon64. PLUS the fact that Newegg has links to the manufacturer's site for more info! This is a great AthlonXP cooler and I recommend it highly!

1 out of 5 eggsFor Socket A Only

Comments: There is no real or easy way to get this on 939, or 754 sockets for that matter. Even though no Newegg and the products papers tell you NOWHERE it is for socket A. Note the locking mechanism, it is not the 939/754 clip syle.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat item

Comments: This is a great fan. Lowered my CPU temp. from about 43 to 37 degrees average - in pretty much idle mode.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Heatsink

Comments: I replaced my AMD heatsink with this Thermalake and it's working great. The install was tough because I had little room between the heatsink fan and my powerbox, it me me a couple of tries to wedge my fingers and screwdrive in between. One amazing feature is that this fan is very silent. Thanks new for the great products and pricing.
