5 out of 5 eggsDece little 2.1 system

Pros: This little powerhouse packs quite a punch. The two satellites are tiny yet produce a tremendous amount of sound. The small size of this set up is a huge plus for me, as I haven't the space for a second 5.1 in my room.

Cons: For those who want a bass dominated system, this may not be the one for you. It has bass, but not to a "BOOM" extent.

Other Thoughts: If you want a cool looking little 2.1 system and have been eying this one, go on and pick treat yourself!

5 out of 5 eggsWow, Great stuff

Pros: WOW, this was amazing. Of course, I couldn't use them the first day I got them, but it was worth the wait. This goes onto my work-in-progress build, and these things are such an improvement over my other speakers. I don't necessarily have room for a full 7.1 system, and really prefer just the smaller 2.1 setup. These things are amazing, they are so tiny, and they sound great. Skin activated volume buttons, great bass and treble control, and they look awesome. If you think you have 'good' speakers (aka you've had them for a while and you don't know what anything else sounds like) go to your nearest Cxxp UXA, they had them on display, thats where I fell in love. Best price out of anywhere

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: These will probably sound even better once I get the new sound card, hopefully a X-Fi Fatality x-treme gamer card. Current system:
Intel Core 2 E6600 (!), 2gb Geil ultra (5-4-4-10), 2 36.6gb Raptors RAID 0, EVGA 680i Motherboard, 7800GTX, Sound Blaster Audigy 2

2 out of 5 eggsMuddy Muddy

Pros: Nice looking design.

Cons: They don't have good sound. Lots of power and good bass, but they sound tinny and too deep at the same time. No midrange. The knobs don't adjust the bass/treble well either. You can get better speakers at this price, for sure. I gave them away.

Other Thoughts: I bought these because I liked my friend's Creature 1s. I think this is another case of cranking out a sequel to a success but lowering the quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAhead of YOUR time!

these speakers are worth double what newegg has them for! these tiny pieces of heaven put out quite a punch! the sattelites cant be more than 1-2 inch in diameter but sound about like 6 inch. upon inspection of the subwoofer i see that its about a 5 or 6 inch sub-woofer. i was a little leery of the looks. but after i plugged them up and got them positioned to my liking i cranked up the volume and plugged in some D-n-B and little receipts and paper lifted up and were floating in front of me. O.O;; clear crisp sound and very deep bass....i cant overdrive this me ive tried as hard as i can and i cant overdrive it. these speakers are the way to go.

Cons: the left and right audio cables i had a problem getting seated firmly in. i like to have thought the sattelites were DOA but i applied excessive preassure and the little suckers came right to life and wowed me right away ;P

Other Thoughts: WOW! the volume control is FREAKIN SWEET! all you do is make skin contact with the little metal contact which is CLEARLY branded with + and -. the bass and treble has a nice little 50% notch in the knob that you can feel which tickled me to death. indeed the lights on the sattelites do fire downward and create a nice little ground kit effect. black paint with green LED ground effects...tell me that isnt sweet!
this kit was small enough to squeeze on my desk, sub-woofer and all, so that i can control the bass and treble easily.
the transformer is in the middle of the power cord so you dont take up a whole lotta room with a huge plug. that was FREAKIN sweet! freed up 2 plugs from my old subwoofer transformer.

for such a small price for such big sound i feel like im ripping someone off :\
oh well! ;P BUY THESE!!!

Other Thoughts: I thought these speakers were DOA when I got them...but not true, you have to plug left speaker in left hole and right in right! usually it does not matter, but with these it does!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Their small size is perfect for someone that has limited room on their desk. The small size however doesn't take away from the sound what so ever. The bass produces enough sound to keep me happy.

Cons: Only that the off switch is located in the back of the sub, but other then that it works fine by me.

Other Thoughts: People complain about the lack of a headphone jack, but if you have an external soundcard, you are in luck for you have no need for that. If you honestly wanted more bass, then go look elsewhere, but JBL produces high end speakers for cars and such and they have been known to pack a punch in a small size.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sound for the money

Pros: Very cool looking speakers, nice sound for listening to digital music files from your computer or Ipod

Cons: On/off switch is hard to access if you place the subwoofer on the floor. No headphone jack

5 out of 5 eggsBoth form and function

Pros: The main selling point of these babies is the way they look; you can certainly find more powerful speakers, but none of them look this sexy. They do produce great sound, though, especially considering their tiny footprint/power output. I haven't detected any sound distortion (tinny sounds, rattling, etc).

Cons: As advertised, bass frequencies are somewhat superficial and weak. It's more of a thump than the rumble that more powerful woofers provide. That said, they sound fine. Weak, but fine. Also, I would have liked a headphone port on the speakers or the woofer. Lastly, the touch volume control is novel, but you can't tell what the volume is until you test it the hard way. It's awakened my roommate on more than one occassion!

Other Thoughts: These speakers are great for someone who wants a a sleak piece of desk candy for their sound solution. Their small size makes 'em easy to position in cramped quarters (and you'll want them to be visible), and their sound, while not amphitheatre quality, is suitable for all but the most discriminating ears.
