Good TV
- Pros: Good picture quality, very bright with backlights on (not really needed except in daylight and its an energy hog). Good set of connectors. HDMI 1.3 works great. It paired with my Samsung blue-ray player automatically via HDMI immediately.
- Cons: Speakers are not the best. But that's why I skipped higher priced models with 120Hz refresh etc. Paired it with a speaker system and it's great.
- Other Thoughts: The new craze is 1080 Progressive and 120Hz refresh rate. For something less than 50", 1080p is very hard to distinguish from 1080 interlaced (scanning every other line per refresh). But it's too late to fight that battle, and it matters a somewhat. TV, DVD, etc has 24 frames per second. So, for a normal 60 Hz TV, 18 of the 24 frames are refreshed 2X/sec and every 4th frame is refershed 3/sec. In effect, every 4th frame is 50% longer (or 1/60th of a second). If you get an expensive set with powerful processor doing 120 HZ (all frames refreshed equally at 5 refreshes), you might be able to see the difference if your eyes are fast enough for certain shots (like the ones they will show you at the stores). Otherwise, the difference is unnoticeable to minimal depending on your eyes. Many people actually find the new processing to be unnatural looking. Moral of the story? Unless you are one of the few people to whom it matters, pay less and buy this one.
Great deal
- Pros: The screen is bigger then I thought it would be! The picture looks great and has an extensive amount of features that allow you to adjust anything and everything to get it to look exactly the way you want. Right out of the box the picture is excellent for those that don't want to change anything. The price vs feature and quality ratio is excellent with this set.
- Cons: SRT isn't as big of a deal as I thought it would. Garbage in Garbage out rule still heavily applies here. The speakers are good for normal daily use but if you plan to connect it to a blu ray player I highly recommend getting a surround sound set.
- Other Thoughts: I was a bit nervous about AIT delivery because I had never had a large item delivered. I can now say with confidence they were excellent on this shipment. The two times I called them (first national number then regional office) they answered within seconds! To top it all off they delivered it a day ahead of schedule.
Newegg came through with a fast shipment within 24 hours of me clicking order. Thank you newegg and AIT!

Great buy
- Pros: Great in almost every aspect. Some people in other reviews complained about the Toshiba logo on the front, but I think it is cool how it lights up when on. Resolution on some standard definition channels even gets better! This is replacing my 47" HDTV projection t.v. and it was definitely worth it.
- Cons: As I know at least a few people have had issues with, my satellite receiver takes a period of time to be able to access via remote, but works after a while. I'm going to have to look into it further and should be able to get resolved You can hear some slight noise when right next to it, but other than setting up there is no need to be right next to the t.v.
- Other Thoughts: Showed up soon than expected. AIT shipping was great even though I never initially heard of them until purchasing this.

- Pros: Good resolution, excellent price, enough HDMIs. Not sure when the new wave of tvs will hit the market, but older models like this still boast great quality.
- Cons: A little slow on the channel changing.
- Other Thoughts: The main reason for this review was to brag about newegg's service. The reason this review didn't get 5 stars is because the first model sent had a busted screen. I called newegg and the model was replaced within a week's time at absolutely no extra charge. Very little hassle - just a couple 5 minutes phone calls. Not bad considering this is a fairly expensive item.
