4 out of 5 eggs Great tiny case, no space for pci card 04/04/2011

This review is from: hec Black 0.7mm Thickness SECC (Japanese Steel Metal) ITX ITX200A Mini ITX Media Center / HTPC Case

Pros: Nice finish and overall design. Very, very small. Seems sturdy too. Power supply is more than adequate for my mini-itx motherboard. Case fan should be good enough for almost any mini-itx solution.

Cons: I was surprised to see that there wasn't a space for a pci expansion card. It's not just the fact that it's missing the opening, but there isn't even room between the motherboard and the PSU. I will have to do some modding to install my capture card above the PSU. While it's not the ideal setup I had hoped for, I like this case too much to return it.

Other Thoughts: I read reviews but I guess I overlooked the missing pcie expansion slot. Again, I am still extremely pleased with this case and won't be returning it.

Energizer - Protective Case w/ Built-in Battery for iPhone (AP1000)
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Charges my 3Gs and even my fiance's iPod 3G fine (it doesn't fit the iPod as well since it's thinner, but it still works). This little pack comes in handy when I drain my battery listening to music over 3g and I still have 4 hours of work to go. For $7 and free shipping, it was totally worth it!

Cons: Doesn't charge my phone to 100%, but 80-90% is close enough for me.

SUPERMICRO MBD-X7SPA-H-O Mini ITX Server Motherboard DDR2 667

5 out of 5 eggs Great low-power solution 01/21/2011

This review is from: SUPERMICRO MBD-X7SPA-H-O Mini ITX Server Motherboard DDR2 667

Pros: I've been using this in my FreeNAS box for almost 3 months and I have had no issues. Very energy efficient and capable SOHO server solution.

Cons: The SODIMMs aren't the easiest thing to install due to the mounting bracket position, but that was probably intentional to save space.
