Keeping my 8700k cool at 5Ghz
Pros: - I have my 8700k O.C. to 5Ghz at 1.28v and this will keep the notoriously hot cpu with stock TIM and thermal paste at around 78 Celsius under 100% load on Prime 95 (with AVX disabled) Small FTP max heat test.
Cons: - Why is it so impossible to buy the stock fans that come with these coolers? Corsair wont sell anything that looks similar or has identical specs, they all differ slightly... I'd love to have 4 of these identical fans for a push/pull setup but all they sell are fancy colorful stuff and nothing identical in specs. I will have to buy 2 fans second hand but thats their loss.
Overall Review: - Do not take my results and expect identical results, google the meaning behind the term silicone lottery. These are my results but yours may vary from CPU to CPU as none are 100% identical, some run hotter some run colder. If you can't reach similar speeds and temperatures consider having the cpu professionally delided to reduce temperatures further.
Works!
Pros: - They work to advertised specs at a great price! - I used one for a month and was so satisfied with the switch that i bought 3 more to overhaul my home network and get everything off of wireless. One for the TV stand, one for the Desk, one by the router. - The lights indicate whether the connection is 100Mbit (orange) or 1000Mbit/1Gbit (green) which is super helpful in troubleshooting if a cable isn't putting out 1Gbit connections. I had a few cables that needed to be replaced in my home and the lights were much easier than checking my computers network status for speeds.
Cons: - Although the sale was great the shipping was not cheap and they had no premier option.
Overall Review: - The first one i bought has been running all ports strong for 3 months straight, in home streaming and other high bandwidth tasks too!
Not the best for airflow, but certainly great for subtle clean aesthetics.
Pros: - Cable management has never been cleaner with essentially a cable/PSU trunk at the bottom keeping the mess out of sight and out of mind. - The cable exits from the back of the case into the case are placed perfectly so that no wires are visible except for the plugs and about 1cm of cable! It's extremely tidy. - Room for two ssd's or 2.5" HDDs behind the motherboard, and room for two full size 3.5" HDD's in a handy quick eject setup in the bottom truck with the cables and PSU. - The silent edition comes with sound dampening padding on the inside of the face plate and the back panel. - The subtle tint on the glass looks great and doesn't glare too much.
Cons: - No 5.25" bay for cd/dvd/bluray player so it's not ideal for a disk media setup, don't buy this looking to use your ancient hardware! the future is diskless! lol - Although the front has ventilation from the top and bottom of the face it wont have nearly the kind of flow a full mesh face would have. - The face of the case gets more and more narrow inside towards the top restricting airflow on fans that are situated within the front/face of the case near the top. This happens to be where my radiators fans are hidden from sight causing them to make more noise and dissipate less heat. - Didn't have enough room for my Corsair H105 Radiator at the top of the case above the motherboard so i situated it to the front/face of the case.
Overall Review: - Overall nice case, lacking airflow somewhat as you lose the options that many cases have of door wall fans by having the glass, and the airflow on the front being restricted to two thin air slots. - I liked that they included magnetic seals/caps to close off airflow through the top of the case and also magnetic dust filters to replace the caps when you desire clean airflow through the top of the case.
It's been working good
Pros: - Worked nicely out of the box. - I like the rugged textured finish. - Came with multiple cables of different lengths to accommodate most builds nicely without excess cable to manage. - Power on self tester was much appreciated as i had to wait well over the 30 day return period before i could get my hands on the elusive 8700k cpu. Using the tester i could confirm the PSU and other items i ordered worked.
Cons: - None yet.
Overall Review: - Great product, highly efficient.
XMP and done!
Pros: - Turned on XMP in the bios and it immediately and effortlessly set to the advertised speeds/timings. - Perfectly stable 24hr stressed. - Love the black with white spots, look up the MSI z370 Krait Gaming Motherboard.. They go perfect together aesthetically :) - It's a samsung B-die set which is great if you're needing advertised speeds when paired with Ryzen - For samsung B-die sets at these speeds the price is super competitive.
Cons: - The S/N stickers with specs being classic bright white rectangles takes away from the look kinda? I mean i could peel them off.. In a world where motherboards and ram are designed colorful like art and not "just circuits" it would be nice to see ram manufacturers change spec stickers to a grey on black or something subtle but that's just an opinion on aesthetics.
Overall Review: - My setup has these paired with z370 MSI Krait and 8700k (cpu O.C. to 5Ghz)
Works good.
Pros: Nice heater for a cold hallway. Remote is handy.
Cons: The beeps it makes when changing settings are quite loud.
Overall Review: Recommended.
Good communication, over sea shipping.
The seller is very willing to communicate and help by providing Tracking numbers etc. Unfortunately the shipping for my orders has been horridly slow 39 days to arrive or 30 business days.. The networking products i had ordered shipping from over seas from china i believe. 1egg for shipping times other than that they are a great seller and even went out of their way to investigate with the shipping companies to find out why my tracking number didn't work and what the status of the package was.
