Pros: Good NIC. Worked great for 380 days. Ran in a virtual environment (test lab) pretty much constantly and very often got 990 megabits sustained.
Cons: One of the two ports died literally 15 days after the warranty expired. How ironic. Have tried in multiple slots and different computers. Won't be replacing with another syba card...READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Update from early 2013. These discs burn well using an LG blu ray burner, but I have decided to go back and check these discs.
Cons: After storing them about 8 months. Virtually every one of these discs have read errors on the first part of the disc. The later portions seem to read fine. I now have to recover a couple terabytes of data stored on these discs and parity data that I (thankfully) decided to keep stored elsewhere. The longevity of these discs seem to be an issue. I have another set of the 4x discs I have used, and I hope the 4x will be better off.
Other Thoughts: While initially these seem to be a good disc, there seems to be an issue with the life span of these discs. I hope it is only the way I have stored them, and will find out after I recover the data I have lost, I am going to test the discs I stored using a different method.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Optical Quantum 25GB 6X BD-R 25 Packs Spindle Disc Model OQBDR06LT-25
Pros: Very good storage medium, although I cannot comment on the longevity. According to the manufacturer's website, this disc supports write speeds up to 12x with a compatible burner, which I have (an LG BH14NS40, a beast of a drive). I can confirm that this disc will write at burst speeds of 12x and will constantly maintain about 9-10x. I am writing 25 gigs of data in about 12 minutes. Not bad for a blu ray dics. All in all, I will buy these again, unless longevity turns out to be an issue. I am currently using these to archive old dvds, as I can store several dvds on one blu ray disc. Hope these last. Have not had any coasters yet (nor does it look like I will).
Cons: none really, wish they would sustain 12x, but considering most blu rays only write at six, I will take 10xREAD FULL REVIEW
